Not for nothing, but He DID call, she ignored his call, and did not return the call till the next day, and afternoon at that. If the met online, could she not email, or even text him?

Yeah I don't really like online either. As to this particular guy...I don't know babe. Inconsiderate of my time, my schedule, my priorities? Making me wait for hours for a call back and not even telling me where? Keep walking. But maybe that's just me. <shrug>

Yeah but she was in church and apparently he knew she was in church at that time so he picked a lousy time to call. But yeah email/text...but she did call him and leave a message.

That's what I thought...but then he called at 440 and could sense I was not having it. So he offered a place much closer...I didn't want to go but I did and I'm glad. We had a nice time and come to find out, he did call me sooner but my POS phone never registered it!
He was thinking *I* was not calling, lol. We had a good laugh and I feel better about it. It was more comfy than date 1, so I agreed to a 3rd.
He offered to drive because he was trying to be a gentleman, but he understands my feelings and respected it. We shall see....I have a date tomorrow night with a different guy, lol. From his picture and couple of phone convos, I predict he is either a geeky, awkward guy (which I can deal with) or a major creepo! One or the other, and I'm anxious to find out!
:)

Oh ok then I (tentatively) take back my negative judgement of him.

Exactly.

Why don't you get over yourself, ladies. Your man-hating is showing when you think every man is out to get you.

I tell you guys this story? Met up at a restaurant with a girl for a first date, decided to go to the park afterward, she was willing to ride with me. Then we saw this dude pushing his car on a deserted road. I stopped to see if he needed help. He didn't have a cell phone and couldn't remember his friend's number off the top of his head. So I gave him a ride too!

The girl and I ended up dating for a few months.

I completely respect and understand a woman who doesn't want a guy knowing where she lives -- and being trapped in his car -- until she's comfortable with him.

Trapped? Just pull your weapon and put it against his temple. He will take you wherever you want to go.

I know you're joking around, but what people like the mutt don't understand is that just because *you*(the general you) might be a nice guy doesn't mean all guys are, and especially meeting someone online...they can be anyone. Craigslist killer anyone? It's just not the same for women as it is for men. There are very very very few Eileen Wurnos(sP?) es in the world which is why it's such a big deal when one of them is discovered, but there are all kinda Ted Bundys.

Because armed women are never overpowered and killed with their own weapon!

And what people like Mimi don't understand is women are more likely to be killed by their bf/spouse than by some random stranger/serial killer.

Yes. I would think that would be true. That doesn't preclude, however, that a person you know almost nothing about making a woman part of another statistic.

I wonder how many rapes are by strangers or other violent acts.
