With all of the absurdities taking place lately here in America, it is a fair question to ask...

It just keeps getting more and more absurd - the lack of critical thinking from the left... The lack of even the lowest levels of common sense from the left...

Is a genetic disorder to blame for electing obama and ultimately the destruction of America as we know it?

Actually, you may be onto something. There is no question that genetic make up
does influence personal world view as well as which areas of the brain perform specific functions.

It is possible that liberals employ more of the emotional centers of the brain to process imformation for the purpose of decision making....where as conservatives may tend to better compartmentalize their emotional centers from the more analytical centers and are therefore more skilled at critical thinking without the intrusion of emotions over the final choices that are made in critically important decisions.

Neurology is my career. Unlike psychology and psychiatry, Neurology is a hard science.

In time, I think we will have uncovereded the neurological mechanism for political ideology progression. Indeed, I think it will be shown that liberalism is in fact, a genetic defect. Michael Savage was close in speculating that it is a mental disorder. But in fact, I think it will be shown to be a gene that is missing. Liberals
are nothing more than a group of people with a genetic condition that results in varying degrees of diminished common sense. They appear
to be normal in every other way - more or less.

Taken from someone from another forum -

WARNING - THIS POST REQUIRES COMMON SENSE IN ORDER TO COMPREHEND:

Everybody understands that a government run system will be inefficient and will invite corruption and abuse like the $60 billion of Medicare fraud. Everyone knows that there will be rationing. Everyone knows that almost half of US doctors will quit the profession. In short, healthcare in America will go from the best to something truly dismal.

So why would the Democrat Party force this monstrosity on America? Why would they summarily snatch away liberty promised by the Constitution? Do they not see that freedom to choose your doctor and what medical treatment you get is as fundamental a freedom as is freedom to vocalize your views?

The answer to these questions lies in understanding the aim of Socialism, which is that fairness and equality must be hard features of the society. All men are to have equal income, equal opportunity, equal healthcare. If some men are more competent, more resourceful, more motivated, these men must be suppressed so as not to rise above the equality norm. Which implies freedom has no place in a Socialist society. Thus freedom becomes a target, a pariah to be extinguished.

Command of something as basic as healthcare sets the tenor of the society. What better way to make a man compliant than to control his healthcare? What better way to get him to volunteer to be an accepting member of the state? Government control of healthcare establishes a boundary of thought and a medium of expectation that pervades the mind of every citizen. It is crucial to depersonalization and homogenization of the population

Excellent post again Frank

Notice again even in the face of all that is going on that the left is out to lunch once again. What is it going to take for the leftists to engage these issues in defence of their great Marxist in chief?

They have either awakened, or they're hiding in fear and shame for being so stupid.

Id say common sense gene missing is a common denominator for all of the extremists. Whether they be left or right. Personally I can't swallow the whole political agenda of either party, and I won't agree with them in whole. I dont like the "you are either with us or against us" attitude that we see in politics these days.

But the hard right is no different. There are plenty of bible thumping extremists on that side as well.

Would be nice to see some common sense on both their parts. I'd like to see the days where our elected officials remembered they were elected to represent all of their constituents to the best of their ability, and NOT their party.

For the most part I would agree with you rational. but as bad as the repubs are, they have never threatened to destroy our republic.

They have never exposed the country's jugular as Obama and the Marxist congress have.

The left has (seriously) in all likelihood a genetic defect.

I would say thats an over generalization. Your assumption is absolute, and in all practicality it doesnt work that way. Did I like Bush? Nope. Do I like Obama? Well no, I dont like him either (and maybe Im guilty of the easy card to play of just criticizing whoever is in office) but to say its just one sided is to neglect other information out there.

Hey, I just got done reading biographies on Franklin and Adams.(Both of which I highly suggest, especially Adams since he had so much correspondence with his wife and Thomas Jefferson-we know more about Adams and the government at that time based on his high propensity to correspond. A highly complex individual, one who was abbrasive because he stood by his convictions. Dont see that anymore really). Would our founding fathers be rolling in their graves if they saw whats happening to this country? Absolutely! But the blame is not one sided.

The problem is that it costs big dough to get elected, and no matter what they say, favors are paid in return. No matter which party is in control. It happens. We need to prove to these elected officials that regardless of our party affiliation we will vote out of office those representitives who do not put their constituents first, and fall into party line.

This game started a while back. The problem is, its better to blame the other side. So they play the blame game. "The reason this bill didnt get passed is because the Republicans blocked it" or vice versa. So a bill may be "keeping kids in school" but the opposing or minority party will attach so many riders, or the part in control will do the same in order to push through ridiculous legislation that does not benefit the common public that some of these bills which sound good by their title are voted down. And why? Because each party wants to be able to write the bills and pass them so that they can take credit for it and say "see the D or R party did this good thing". So much goes on behind the scenes that when you see a bill that sounds so good and principaled gets shot down you have to wonder why. Well usually thats because the legislators are more interested in their party getting credit for bills being passed, and when they cant they do their best to block them. And who suffers? all of us, no matter if we are D or R

You've got high hopes about someone or something today, and you're confident that everything will turn out well. If a positive attitude is a guarantee of a positive outcome then you have nothing to worry about. But is it? There's a chance that you're being far too optimistic, and confusing fantasy with fact. If so, you'll be in for a big disappointment.
