Towards the end, the Bel-Air was tagged by bangers and probably used by vagrants as a campsite.

Bring it Back. Those were the Good Days. The movie theatre now are too crowded and nosy. At the drive in you didn't have to deal with all the nonsense.

I worked there from 1983-84. It wasn't my first job, but it was the most fun I've ever had, while getting paid! The two summers (and renovations in the winter) I spent there were 75% fun!
The only thing that sucked was the "manager" on the North side (I worked on the South side) was an absolute bitch. I won't mention any names. She was an incompetent fool, who thought she was the s**t because, her husband was the manager. She was horrible!!!
Other than that, nothing but good times and great memories!

a good friend of the family james berkos bought the land which was a junk yard back in the early 1950's.it remained that way till mr.berkos along with a few other cicero politicans leased it to m&r amusement co.they in turned devoleped the land for a drive in. i had free passes for years until the late 1970's when we all moved to fl. we all enjoyed the bel-air drive in and had many happy, fun filled hours there.and with the way cicero became over the years,it was best that it closed when it did.
