I live at River City and I'm currently displaced to my girlfriend's studio and I'm feeling a bit homeless/unwelcome because I had to bring my entire home office & computer with me.

This has been a total wreck and residents are now hearing that the earliest we can move back is 10 days from the Wednesday they said it would be fixed. Furthermore, the residents are only allowed 10 minutes to gather thier belonging and even guided through the building by police escort the whole time.

The building has been touted as luxury condos but the hallway ceilings leak every time it rains and the American flag on the roof is clearly torn to absolute shreds. And now with the flooding situation I find it hard for them to keep any integrity left inside the spaceship-like complex that is River City.

Furthermore, residents who lived at River City will each find out that the owner's home-owners insurance will not cover any damages related to flooding (which this is). Contacting FEMA will offer no support because this is not listed in thier current disaster directory yet. Currently, your only option is to catch a bus from River City to a homeless shelter or try to get the Red Cross to help you in some way...

Govt is always your worst enemy. Make govt your servant, not your master (this flood was deliberately caused by YOUR beloved govt).

And,

Don't wait to fix anything broke. If you do, it will haunt you during a disaster.

The town of Cicero is sueing the sewer entity ?

All mechanicals should always be installed just above ground level, never below.

Furnaces (AC too), hot water heater, electricity circuit-breaker panels, clothes dryer/wash machines all need to be installed above the ground.

And,

Oversized water pumps must be installed. I have two exterior/interior wall taps drilled. Water pump hoses or generator cords can be routed thru them, from the outside into the basement (for emergency use only).

My disaster equipment and preparations are not only for natural disasters, they're for when the govt decides to create a disaster. Govt created disasters are worse than disasters created by nature.

Why does govt create disasters ? Answer: to give govt a legal excuse to force undesirables to vacate the property (allowing police to search it).

Govt is always our worst enemy.
