It's about time! Never heard such a group of people who loved to talk about white man, white this...get over it. Don't have to hear the actual show of Dee White Man, where a white guy is made fun by the way he talks. Yeah, they actually did that once a week. It's 2009--get a life.

I thoroughly enjoyed the Tom Joyner Morning Show. I will not allow myself to be forced to listen to Steve Harvey's buffoon type antics.

Tom Joyner helped educate as well as entertain his audience. Steve Harvey will only assist in "dumbing down" our people with his clowning. I believe this is the purpose of Clear Channel.

Tom Joyner was assisting greatly in helping to educate our children and keep the HBCU's.

I simply will not listen to Harvey's buffoonery. I have already switched to a different station.

Goodbye Tom and Family. You gave me wonderful years of listening that should never have been interrupted.

Good riddance, you should be tired of Jay repeating everything that Tom says and Tom repeating everything Jay says lol. And have you ever counted how many times the word player is said, player this, player that ,what player, who player

I did not listen to Tom Joyner because I thought it was too immature. All of that silly talk and laughing was too much for me. Steve Harvey will be more of the same: some dumb crap.

To agree with an earlier comment, deregulation is what caused this beast. Clear Channel has been through this in many different cities (taking off Tom Joyner or a local show and adding Steve Harvey) and they know that eventually people will embrace and come to love Steve's show. I'm not saying I like Steve's show, I'm just stating what has happen. I say that to say that Clear Channel is not paying attention to any of the comments or complaints. As a matter of fact, as a former Clear Channel employee I can tell you they don't care anything about what the listeners want to hear. All they care about is saving and making money. They have especially taken this attitude with urban (or african-american) stations because they know black folks will eventually just accept it. So if you don't want Steve Harvey on your airways, the only to change that is to get as many people as you know to stop listening. No listeners=no money. No money=change. Simply how radio works.

However I do have to agree with another earlier comment in that I have a hard time feeling sorry for any of these syndicated shows that get replaced by another. Those of us who worked hard to make a career in radio were given the same treatment when Tom came on in various cities: no regard for talent, no regard for community and no chance to say goodbye. The only difference is Tom will be ok because he still has many other stations around the country and has done for himself over the years. The local folks, however, had to go to the unemployment line.

To wake up this morning and not hear Tom, Sybil and Jay this morning was shocking. I question the timing, after all the TJMS did to get out the vote and now this. How ironic is this? More African Americans registered and voted than any other time in history. Why now? I am 50+ and I know for sure, that Steve Harvey has nothing I need or want to hear. My children ages 23 and 26 appreciate TJMS. I will be listening to the local Jazz station and NOT Steve . Clear Channel this shows a total disrespect for the listeners ages 35+.

Aside from the fact that I love Tom Joyner, what kind of workplace gives you no notice that you will be fired/laid off/let go? Why weren't Tom and his listeners allowed the dignity of a "Good Bye Show"? How can this have happened with no warning? I am angry!!!!
Good bye, V103 and Clear Channel!!
Sad to say, this is standard procedure to fire radio DJs on the spot -- if you give them any advance notice, then there's a chance that they'll spend the remaining days criticizing the company on the air. Same thing with restaurant waiters -- you don't want employees to trash the company on their last days of work.

All you TJMS fans: please wait until tomorrow before you get too worked up! I'm with the others who think that this is nothing more than a well-played April Fool's joke. Anyone who's familiar with WGCI's antics knows that the station attempts an April Fool's joke every year -- several times it has involved a change in personalities and/or line up.

If it's not a joke ... I think you TJ fans should take a page from his book and handle his departure with class; you can voice your preference and displeasure without "downing" Steve Harvey. Steve Harvey, too, has made great strides in two very difficult fields (comedy and radio), and he, too, gives back to his community. You don't have to like his show, but don't tear him down or wish failure on him.

It does not make any difference, Steve, Tom we are stil going to hear the same crap that is passing for music these days!! Steve just tries too hard at being ignant to me. And when can we get rid of Michael Baisdon, another idiot that just loves to hear himself talk. I think his show has the same 10 people that call in all the time

I felt confused when I couldn't get Huggy Low Down on in the morning. Steve Harrvey can not replace Tom Joyner. This change was abrupt and uncalled for. I have stopped listening to V103 and I now am forced to listen to the news in the morning. The show was something that my son and I shared on our morning ride to school.

Oh you mean now Chi town can listen to that ignorant Strawberry Letter that Steve reads every morning. I would really like to know what moron writes a letter to a radio show seeking advice for personal problems. I really think that the letters are fake and that people make them up just see if they will get read. I say take Steve and Tom off, morning radio sucks with the same 6 songs that are played

Oh so it's April Fools , you think you know everything but you don't know a thing. How are you enjoying listening to Tom, cuz he is back on the radio in your area right?
