THIS. It's not a matter of the LW being peeved about not being on the trip, per se, but how things went down and everyone got uninvited and the mom called it ruined and stuff.
She called it ruined in the heat of the fight. Months of tension later, she made up with the sister. Then she went on vacation. Who gives a sht what she said about the island before. She got over it. The fact that its a time share that she's paying for whether she uses it or not probably helped. I mean, what is she supposed to do? Never go again? Go and be miserable?

Oh yeah, thanks for reminding me.
Yeah, deleting your email account is a really practical solution and will prevent future problems. Right.

L1: Why does everybody insist they HAVE to open let alone answer, emails? You already KNOW who it's from, just ignore/delete it. Geeze.
L2: You're gay aren't you?

LW1: Oh grow up, you big whining baby. When your delightful manipulative mother asks if you got her lovely vacay pics, simply respond: "Yes. Glad you're having a nice time!" That'll shut her up.
Lamy's disgustingly passive-aggressive advice merely shows--for the umpteenth time--what a total POS advice columnist she is.

Possibly, due to lack of gender specifics, but gay dude or lesbian?
Doesn't really matter. Advice is still the same. Personally, I say ride this horse. At twenty five, I had no intention of being in my job till I retired. At THIRTY five, and two different jobs later, I STILL have no intention of that but mostly only because my current job likely won' t last that long. Plug away, look for something better, either within the same company or a different one, but DON'T just pull up steaks and quit and hope you'll find something better eventually! Hey, he/she (or is it "zee" now?) may only be 25, but still needs a place to sleep, food to eat, a car to drive, etc. Zee shouldn't do anything until zee has something else lined up.
