Hustler is justs a romanticized term that means "crook." Nothing more.

So, a "how-to" on hustling?

Maybe next The Courant can interview former Gov. Rowland on how to cheat on contracts!

Maybe a 10-part series around tax time on cheating on your taxes?

See, this is what makes The Courant such a great newspaper ... stories that the newsroom dreams up and does so without any clue as to what the readers want.

(Maybe they can also do a story on how to lie about their circulation reports since it's falling quickly!)

This article is pretty stupid. Also, does anyone find the sight of this guy's fingernails to be as nauseating as I do?

Is this man someone to admire? Please tell me why a hustler and cheat should be written in fun and happy terms.

I hope a guy like this winds up marrying the writers of this article and their kids. He would be a welcome member to any family, eh?

Next week, the wild and wacky world of pimps. Who says sex in the workplace is bad. We'll answer if they really get any on the side from their workers.

I've met Jack, he, on the surface is a charming, interesting man. Deep down, however, I believe he is nothing more than a crook.

Other upcoming topics in the Courant:

1.) prison sex - learn some new positions to try with the spouse
2.) stealing is fun - smash n' grab the right way
3.) gambling rocks! Learn to count cards.

Why is it fun to write about this guy when you have previously criticized casinos, businessmen, and liquor sales on Sunday.
Is the numbers racket OK?

Why not do a film lionizing Bernard Madoff? This crook is no different. What a waste of newspaper space.

With all this crookedness, it sounds like he should come out of retirement and work for the state. He seems to be well qualified.

If this guy is so interesting, then you should write about these bank and auto CEO's in glowing terms such as "lifestyles of the rich and powerful". You should sing the praises of Bernie Madoff (he made millions and nobody caught on!- cool!)
And how reliving the fun and wit of the corner bookie! Fun guys!

Great...a six part primer on how, you too, can start out as a petty crook and advance at the expense of others. What a waste of print space.

I guess when there is no direct competition in the Hartford newspaper market, you can get away with publishing this drivel. The obituary for the Courant itself is fast approaching, but just who will publish it? Just as important, who is going to care enough to read it?

This 'newspaper' is headed the way of the Hartford Times.

And if you think this is a fun look at an admirable man, take a read of Susan Campbell this Sunday. She discusses a funeral service held by the welfare workers who tended to a drunk for ten years.

This paper is really out on the fringes this morning. All they need is Osama Bin Ladin: The Softer Side.

What are you people thinking? How does this story merit any coverage? The lack of judgement by the editorial board is worrisome.

so this is the best we can do now. let's make headline stories about the very best we seem to produce in Connecticut. How nice to read about another liar, cheater and thief who has made good in the world by being a better liar, cheater and thief than someone else. The only surprise here is that he is not an elected official.

Forget about these punks here, that was a heart warming story about the good old days. It really takes me back. Thanks.
