Railroads fall under federal jurisdiction. Local municipal law enforcement have no jurisdiction to issue citations or any other action against them.
Lesson 101 BIIP. It is the responsibility of the municipalities to communicate with the Railroads to inform citizens of alternate routes and dates of road obstructions. You poor Islanders are being led by total idiots! Next election will be here soon. Hang in there folks!

Idiots? You said it. Blue Island isn't that big. You can't live here and not know an alternate route.
If anyone over 16 needs to be told of alternate routes, here's some advice:
Look around once in a while, get a map and read it, or use the Internet.
Or just sit at the stopped train, blocked road etc. until an elected official comes by and tells you where to go.

Uh oh, someone hit a nerve. Out of towners as well as our own residents do not normally sit on their laptops or route every outing by their GPS. You guys failed. Just admit it and try to improve upon it. Instead you demean and blame others for your deficiencies. We are here just to point those inexperienced out to the public.

The placement of the road closed right at the tracks rather than further east was idiotic

Everybody knows the alternate route that is the problem. There is only one and it becomes a traffic nightmare. Now, who is the stupid one that opens their mouth before thinking?
