When are people finally going to learn that each and every one of these politicians is a “flip-flopper”; they are all the same with the exception of Ron Paul.

here comes the whine mobile, every time I see your article I truly find it amusing. Wait a minute are you writing for the same Chicago Tribune that endorsed Obama, yeah, I suggest you quit and fall over a cliff. This country is headed down the tubes thanks to the decider and you are worried about someone with 1/100th of an opinion- so I guess thats how republicans stayed in power so long- crying about everything. Why don't you get a new bib, your drooling too much babe.
The only people I see crying all the time are the liberals. Anytime someone says one thing negative about Barry you all start up a big tear fest. Get used to it......not going away for the next 4 years.

You are kidding me...as if it can look any worse now. You are a joke, dumb comment.
And if Blago bought chicago style politics to Springfield...what did "now in jail Ex-Governor Ryan bring"????
I hate to be the one to tell you this but, unfortunately, things can ALWAYS get worse. Ryan brought grief, sadness and shame as Blago has and will continue to do. Greedy and self-serving pols are cut from the same cloth regardless of their party affiliation.

Must be tough being a Republican these days. Your boy Bush screwed the country up and nobody really cares about the "Chicago Way" or other assorted Illinois corruption.
Blagojevich really is the last surviving member of the Serbian extremist Black Hand, which assassinated Archduke Franz Ferdinand and started World War I. Other than that, he's just a jerk of a politician who got busted doing his business.
That this didn't bring down Obama and Rahm Emmanuel just stings, doesn't it? Heh heh.
Wow Elrod, you sure seem to know a TON about what's going on here in Crook County, IL! And attempting to tie in a random WWI reference; double WOW!(sarc) Since you are from NC, I would suggest you read through the Chicago Tribune archives or check out Lexis-Nexis to see just how close the Obama/Rahm/Durbin/Blago/Daley cabal is to each other. The fact that US Attorney Fitzgerald has only released 2 tapes is just the tip of the iceberg; notice how Rahm hasn't said ANYTHING since the scandal broke. Obama is gonna throw him to the Wolves the second we're all distracted; and you Democrats can just keep on making excuses.

All I can say is I voted for Judy Barr-Topinka when she ran against Blago. We truly live in interesting times, especially those of us from Chicago. After the dust settles on this entire mess, if it ever does, the Dems will have to claw and scratch to get re-elected to their current positions. The vast majority of them are handling this whole matter so poorly. Lucky me: as a city resident, I contend with Richie, Todd, and Rod. God help me!

I am absolutely disgusted how all of these crooks are now giving into Blago (and Obama). Blago was brilliant when he decided not to resign. He is smarter than everyone else out there. He knew that no one would really try to stop him. It will probably take months to impeach him, and by that point people will probably start to be convinced that he is innocent. Yesterday on "The View" Joy asked if Blago actually DID anything illegal, because he just talked about selling the senate seat. Apparently she doesn't realize that conspiring to commit an illegal act is illegal. I think that this is where the rest of the country is headed. People will believe that he is innocent, and we'll be the ones that have to pay for it by keeping him as our governor.

On another note, I think it's interesting that the only person to stand by his word, and with any shred of dignity, Jesse White, is being insulted for not signing the paperwork for Burris. That's just another example of how our media, and our voters, seem to prefer TALK over actual action. Guess that's how a junior senator with little record of accomplishing anything, but has a lot of nice things to say, became president.

Great reading. Yes it was a "media election" and how stupid can people be. Change-- where? Bring in Chicago corruption, bring back a few Clintonites and we're doomed. I do think Obama did his about face to save the ceremonial day-- disgusting to think of it that way. I wish the media would stop playing this guy up to be our saviour-- I say good luck to him. Just remember where he came from and who he dealt with.. Blag's bust couldn't happen at a better time- take off the blindfolds & tell it like JK just did- straight on- Thanks for an honest perspective.

So, now I understand what Obama's campaign mantra - "yes we can" - means.
It means that Obama can bring to Washington D.C. the sleazy Chicago-style politics - yes he can, and yes he did. And I thought Obama was just a fan of Bob the Builder. Silly me.
Oh yes, this disgusting and embarrassing display of Chicago-style politics where Obama was spawned has spread to Washington D.C. And Obama is not even president.
And still, the media fawns over the anointed one and throws softball questions. Obama doesn't have an opinion on the Gaza incursion. So what. Obama first says Blago should not pick a senator and if he does that person would be banned. And now, well, the Chosen says it's not his place to comment, and no one asked him about the race comment made by his FELLOW ILLINOIS DEMOCRAT SENATOR and FORMER BLACK PANTHER BOBBY RUSH.
After all, Obama's only a president-reject...er...elect. .
Let's not forget that Obama's OWN investigation cleared Rhamn Emanual of any wrongdoing in his 27 conversations with Blago about the senate position. Uh huh, just remember, Patrick Fitzgerald has a lot more tapes that no one YET knows about. And Fitzgerald DID NOT clear Rhamn of unethical behaviour.
I still want to know what Obama promised Emil Jones last September that prompted Jones to release the ethics bill he was holding up all year. That ethics bill is what caused Blago to hurry up and raise money before it went into effect.
Obama is the first affirmative action and media-manufactured president in this country's history.
Consider just two years ago Obama publicly stated that he would not run for president because he didn't have the experience. Then he picked a vice president who told America that Obama did not have enough experience to lead.
I think there's a pattern here.
Rev. Wright
Bill Ayers
Gov. Blago
Roland Burris
Bobby Rush
Tony Rezko
Emil Jones
Mayor Daley
et al.
Right on, great post! Obama won the popularity contest for the office of president it was nothing more then a media circus. The American people lack the intelligence to elect a qualified “honest” candidate like Ron Paul.

do you ever think? I mean really? The problems here in Illinois are real. Finally it is coming to the national spotlight. Something many wish would have happened during the presidential election. Do you think Blagojevich acted alone, with out any democrats?

..."The globe was 90% in support of Obama heading our country.".. What a hell is the "globe"?

What "a globe" know about ChitCity, Crook County or Sleasynois. Who cares what "globe" think about US (or us). Get real pal !!!
P.S. Somehow "glob" is investing in USA to make money, not in globe. America is not a Country but a Civilization as such is beyond a "globe".

The msm doesn't want egg on their face and they don't have any reservations about misinforming the public to save theirs. In other words, the end result of telling a lie is the same as lying by omission.

Right there with you. I am right in the middle of democrat and republican and I am glad someone will just put it out there. The liberals get all up in arms every time someone says something about negative about Obama. I think its about time the media just reports the news instead of protecting the democratic machine.

The Sentae Dem's have exposed their wet noodle backbone. Just the kind of leadership we ned right now.

I am getting sick of hearing how qualified Burris is to be Senator. Burris is a overly narcistic, self serving layabout that has never done anything for this state other than show up for his pay check. Once the people discovered this he was unable to get elected to another public office. He will get this one by throwing the race card in the face of the limp wristed US Senate leadership.

Yep, definately a man to be proud of. I guess some people have to stretch pretty hard to find a hero.....

I think we are seeing the beginning of a 15-20 year economic depression worse than FDR's attempt to "save" the US by spending beyond our means. We need a Warren G Harding approach.

If Obama took the Harding approach I would actually/gladly become a blind follower of his
