Gang-bangers vs. Gang-bangers, where is there a downside to this story?

Yes, I'm that sick of the gangs.

Sounds to me like the kids in the car bit off a little more then they could chew. And talk about insane bail 3.5 million dollars why don't they just remand with out bail. And on the other side of it the Defendant does nothing and he ends up dead next week. I don't live in the hood anymore but used to and its a dog eat dog world. USE the Rod and beat the Child.

This scenario is coming to your neighborhood as former project dwellers are scattered to the four winds and concentrated in section 8 housing. Our little suburb used to have just the Latin Kings, vile enough, but the the GD's have arrived and there has been an uptick in gang idiocy.

Right... agreed. And as a result, Waukegan is just a tiny bit safer today as a result. One dead, one wounded, and one going away for life most likely. And no innocent people hurt... win-win.

Gang Bangers are punks, low lives. Takes 6 usually to beat up on just 1 person. What goes around comes around ladies!

I have no pity. Maybe they will all exterminate themselves. Even animals don't behave the way gang bangers do,to much class.

Just another scum bag that the tax payers will be supporting for the rest of his life. The only way this is different because instead of section 8 and welfare its jail.

how is this a win win? u got one kid dead, another going to prison, probably for a long time, with only your tax dollars to support him, and then finally the Latin Kings will retaliate and hit some innocent kid. yea real win win

With the first two paragraphs I just had an image of a young man peacefully riding his bicycle, then he pulled out a .38!! Talk about shifting imagery!

That said, now I know why people tell me that Waukegan is no place to live. And here I thought that all the Northern Suburbs were upper-class Utopian Villages. Shame on my ignorance.

I say put them all on their own island. Put a huge fence around it and let them all kill each other. Good riddens to bad rubbish. Parents have enough to think about now days without having to worry about stray bullets or car jackings, etc... from these punks. They want to die for a cause and act like animals, send em all to IRAQ.

this situation is such a shame, these boys can be doing something much more valuable with their time instead of burying their friends and taking it in the a**. i wish these boys were big and bad enough to go to war and fight the real enemies. as a minority they bring embarrasment and shame to the whole race and make a mockery of the american dream their parents wished for them. whatever, you reap what you sow, no sympathy they never show any when they commit their crimes so i won't show any for them.

Well the dead kid won't cost us anything anymore. Good riddance. The one going to jail will only cost us ONE trial instead of the several you figure he would cost us over his regular gang life span otherwise, and we will still pay the same for his "upkeep" no matter what. But we save on trial expenses.

I did not think about the retaliation so you may be right, but hopefully if it happens, they shoot straight and only whack a gang banger or two. Or three.

While everyone on here is saying good, one less and another to support while he goes to jail I'm showing my respect to A.Rubio and his family and his Girlfriend who is apart of my family. RIP A.Rubio.
Everyone has something negative to type and always complaining and showing no sympathy for the dead on this BS forum. Why don't you take that energy and use it to do something about it? Something Positive. Really your just as bad as the gangbangers.

Sympathy is a human emotion. These punks are not human. They are low life's who steal and kill for what? A pair of shoes? A piece of street to deal drugs? We need tighter gang laws and more armed federal agents on the streets to combat this virus - with permission to shoot the little idiots if they wave a gun at the enforcement agents. Prison is like the Ritz to these guys... forget prison - chain them up - put them in tents - give them a piece of property - a well and some wooden tools - and make them fend for themselves. Maybe then will they learn that hard work puts food in their mouths, not guns and bullets.

No. You are wrong. You are what you do. I doubt that any of these people posting who are sick of that "gang" culture would try to kill others who has different opinions than them.

Oh really? SO everyone here is engaging in criminal activity like gang mayhem, illicit drugs, drive by shootings? Your value system is out of whack!!

Whether you write the truth or not means nothing to me... it's WHAT you wrote that matters. We cheer because it's one less gang turd that good, honest, hard working citizens need to worry about. God forbid some poor slob should be sitting in his car driving to work and wearing the wrong color cap, or have to pick his nose and have it interpreted as a gang flash.

You live in a world where this is an every day thing and you do nothing... nothing... to stop it. Think about it. You want US to show up in your rat-azz neighborhood without automatic weapons, and do what? Be a target? Nope... not me. I'm not the smartest person in the world, but I'm smarter than that!

So as long as a gang banger kills another gang banger, and no one else is involved, I'm ok with it.
