The country with the most adundance would rather spend money on useless weaponry & wars, enrich China & other Asian factories & spend billions to help foreign states! They feel no shame or disgrace in taking from our children's education, which is all our future !!!
The Asian students & other foreigners are beating American students in academics 90%!! When will the politicians learn, "An American mind is a terrible thing to waste!!"

Since 50% of black high school students flunk out of school or drop out because they're too stupid or would rather run around in gangs killing each other, I say good, save the money, and build more prisons to contain these morons.

when will you learn? Lets do the math together you can use a calculator to keep up.

the federal government has a department of education in MD with several thousands expensive federal employees.

plus each of the fifty states and the district all have departments of education with lots more education employees to add to the cost to tax payers

then every city and most counties in America has city/county departments of education with lots more employees adding cost.

then every school district has another layer of local people supported by education funding BUT NOT ACTUALLY TEACHING ANYTHING.

Best guess is there are several hundred thousand people in education administration costing tax payers billions of dollars but NONE OF THEM IN THE CLASS ROOM TEACHING.

so America WASTE way too much money on education ADMINISTRATION and not enough on actual teaching.

That's the typical result when government gets involved in anything.

The way the people in Chicago are freaking out over this would make me laugh if it didn't make me sick. They act as if the schools were just going to be closed and the kids not educated. What they are really doing is closing some schools and consolidating them into other schools to make their operations more cost effective.

A lot of the parents and local leaders are whining that if they do that the kids will have to cross "gang boundaries" to go to school.

Hellfire! If the gangs are that bad have the cops go after them. If the gangs are too much for the cops, send in the National Guard. And if they are afraid the Illinois guard isn't up to doing it (and units from the rural areas certainly would not have any qualms about offing a few gangbangers) contract out the job to Southern units. Guarantee you, put a battalion of good Southern country boys on the street with orders to shoot to kill and the gangbangers would disappear -- whether it was into their mama's welfare apartment or into the ground would be up to them.
