Yes, Papa (Frijoles) holds a doctorate (Ph.D.) in earth science or life science but I guess it's in earth science.

HughBe--- Aid to Jamaica is a deep discussion and is beyond your scope or this forum.
If you believe that churches here survive because of aid from the US feel free. I would like you to support it though. Your argument is nonsensical.
We are nothing if not deep. Bring it on.

Part of my argument would imply that aid from the outside supports the welfare of those who might also be parishioners. Therefore the church wouldnt have the total obligation to support their folk. So I didnt mean the churches themselves per se. But I could see how you might not interpret my post as such. It was mainly off the cuff and sarcastic, if not bombastic.

Frijoles---Living in Jamaica you dont have the infrastructure maintenance costs, and plus your standard and cost of living is amazingly low.
HughBe--- List the items that you call, "infrastructure maintenance costs"
Do you think that we have service in trees?.
Frijoles---maintaining the infrastructure. Is that any clearer?
HughBe--- Is the word LIST giving you a challenge? If not LIST the items.
Frijoles---Seriously, you dont have to worry about heat. Thats a big cost.
HughBe--- If I were you I would have said COMICALLY and not seriously. We do have HEAT problems but it is not the same as your lack of heat. We use something called AIR CONDITIONERS. That cost.
Frijoles--- Plus you probably have thinner buildings for the same reason.
HughBe--- We are NOT into wooden and paper houses as in the US the vast majority of buildings are BLOCK and STEEL.
The thickness argument is garbage.
Frijoles---And on top of that, most likely, you have tinier buildings being that you are poor and third worldish - but that is my guess
HughBe--- Your words reflect your LOW level of intelligence and that is no guess.
Frijoles---Therefore you probably dont have to be concerned with raising revenue to keep your organizations like we do in the states.

HughBe--- Before I deal with the remainder of your amusing post, please identify the questions that I have asked that have GREATLY upset YOU.
My guess is that it is the last one or number 4.
1.What is tithing?
2.Who should collect tithes?
3.Is it rabbis or LEVITICAL priests?
4.Suppose tithe means a tenth, do you think that collecting a tenth and renaming it changes the fact that you are collecting money fraudulently?
Now you are amusing me since you obbviously wont let this one go

So I have to ask you - mainly because I haven't paid any attention to your grievance - what is your issue with this?
What are you secretly accusing me of?
What is the injustice you are trying to address?

What do you mean by "mental magic"?
Why do you relate mind to natural laws?
I employ the word mind as related to the natural laws in a very special sense.
I shall write about this later.
rabbee: because they wrote em, the way they wanted. not the way, it was really meant to be. muselms have muslem laws, jews have jewish laws, christians have christian laws. russians have russian laws, chinese have chinese laws, french have french laws, athiests have athiests laws, etc. it's all, mental vanity. the true laws, should not distinguish russian, french, african, christian, muslems, jews as special vanity. true laws, should not specify, race, creed, color, or nationality. but should apply, to everyone uniformly. even if your are, the president, premier, king, queen or dictator of any nation. if diplomates have diplomatic immunity, then i should have this too. if the president and congressmen does not have to pay taxes, on their salary. then neither, should you.

<quoted text>
Tithing constitutes financial support for the church.
Technically it means 10% but I'm sure you an intelligent person like you wouldn't get hung up on a mere technicality.
<quoted text>
What prompts all my discussion on religion when I'm an atheist?
I generally find it intellectually stimulating.
I know you won't want to fxck that up for me by being an annoying pain in the axs.
:))
Former---Simply repeating your riddles only leads us in circles

HughBe--- It is NOT a riddle.

Let me try and explain it to you before I leave.

Please try and understand what follows.
----------

Former--- why do you go to church?

HughBe--- I go because I am NOT "special" as you no doubt are.

Keep your question in mind and tell me the challenge you would encounter if I had responded by saying one of the following---

1. I go because I am NOT a "Muslim" .
2. I go because I am NOT a "Judahite"
3. I go because I am NOT an "atheist"
4. I go because I am NOT "rich"
5. I go because I am NOT "handsome"
6. I go because I am NOT a "fool"

So what is your problem with---7. I go because I am NOT "special"

I cannot help you any more.

There's a time for everything and this is certainly not the time to talk about sexuality which anyway is no big deal and as natural as ocean currents.

In the intellectual sphere, you're way behind Papa and I am sure that your spawn are as dumb and suspicious-minded as you.

Look at a person's intellectual achievements, personality traits, humorous side, aesthetic-sense and compassion instead of concentrating on inanities like sexual orientation, frequency of sex, dick size, procreation of abnormal/dysfunctional kids, fighting with psycho-genetically ill-matched spouse and the accompanying divorce battles et al.

I am proud to be Papa's son and would've been prouder had he been my biological father. Like Papa, I too was a top academic achiever in my student days. I guess Papa, too, has some paternal affection for an orphan like me.

Buzz off.

within the life sciences and earth sciences, not "in". There are particular names for my majors - I just choose not share them. Its single major with two minors - 1 degree - long long time ago. Walked out of academia after getting the diploma and never looked back.
