He may have paid his debt to society, but he can never repay his debt to the innocent creatures he so horribly tortured to get his jollies. He's one ugly excuse for a human being.

He's not human; rather, he is a vicious, vile, savage and barbaric beast whose entertainment was torturing and mutilating animals to their death and enjoying the screaming pains of those animals while they were dying. He does not deserve to live in our society and I believe that karma will catch up with him very shortly and he will then get what he deserves.

For all who say they didn't know what Vicks had done, try this site: http://www.boxxet.com/Michael_Vick/Section:ph... and the reports on the previous page of the site. For you apologists who say "he did his time" and "he served two years": Vicks trial wasn't completed until December 13, 2007. The sentencing followed the trial and he was given time to clear his business before going to prison. Every newspaper in the country carried the story. Where were you and how do you figure 17 months make up two years? Why not admit that you just weren't interested until animal lovers made a stink about it?

Mr. Vick paid a terrible price for these indescretions. He has now teamed up with HSUS and is making a huge difference in so many lives. Mr. Vick has also expressed his deep regret for these trivial matters. Mr. Vick has moved on, its way pasty time for those who wish to continue to vilify him do so also. Forgiveness, a uniquely "human" trait. Try it sometime if you still have a shred of humanity left.

The numbers are there to support that...then he comes out and says he doesnt want to be a wildcat quarterback...what a friggin POS, dude should be whatever the team needs him to be...ESPECIALLY since he cant pass to save his life. It also doesnt take a rocket scientist to know that MV's past record is just that the past but, if you are wanting to talk about the possibility of a team hiring him you have to look at the qb's he is up against. Trent Edwards, Jamarcus Suckle, Marc bulger, Brady quinn, Derrick Anderson, Jason Cambell, Chad Henne,...By your statements are you saying that any of these are capable of leading a team to the playoffs? or Are better than MV? You talk numbers all you want but Roddy White had trouble catching the ball while MV was in atlanta, even when hit in the numbers(there is video to support it). M. Jenkins still has trouble catching the ball. Yet somehow they still went to the playoffs a few times and he had his share of pro bowls in his stay at Atlanta. Now, factor in the economy...none of the above mentioned can fill a bathroom let alone a stadium...MV can, get ready dude, he'll be starting next season in a new town on a new team

Steve wrote: <quoted text> So, if I interpreted the previous post correctly, he is still upside down, but has time to pay those off. Thats fine..my point was, you made it sound like he got that 16 million back...he just didnt have to pay it..he's still broke... I think you also have another flaw in your logic. If he got a contract for roughly 1.5 this year, and did nothing....NOTHING...you think he's going to get 2-3 million next year to be a 31 year old backup QB? So, after not proving anything, he's gonna get MORE MONEY. There is no chance they (the Eagles) pick up his option..no chance...so he will be an unrestricted FA.... Look, I know you joined this discussion late, but let me bring you up to speed...I NEVER SAID HE SHOULDNT PLAY. Never...you can go back in my posts and read that...my point, this entire time, was that he would be terrible, which he always has been, this experiment would fail miserably, they wouldnt pick up his option, and he would be out of the league after this year. This story ends with him playing in the CFL... Every single other predicition I have made has been 100% correct so far. I NEVER said he should be denied the ability to play....I just knew he sucked...and karma is a B****. I hope Vick enjoyed those dogs fights, because he threw his whole life away to do it...thats your idol...wow. Okay, now that I've read this I think we can agree on some things. I think (as unfair as it seems) there are going to be teams (Raiders, Cleveland and Washington) that would take a chance on Vick next year. Why? Their qb's suck and Vick has gotten a team to the NFC championship game. But you refer this to sucking as a qb or as you put it "my point, this entire time, was that he would be terrible, which he always has been"? Okay...that's your opinion though, not fact. Next, where do I claim he's my idol? Please post my comment where I said that. You won't because I never said that. Third, after the 8th game of the season is where he can be cut but they still have to pay him this year's salary. Just like Larry Johnson was cut after his 7th game. Anyone who wants to pick him up now, The Cheifs have to pay him the rest ofpay his salary of more than $2 million, which the Chiefs will pay if he is not picked up. But if he clears waivers and a team signs him, Johnson will still collect his salary from the Chiefs. So Vick is getting his 1.6 million regardless. Sad but true.

Ken white did a City Brights piece on that false "either/or" dichotomy recently. Upshot is there's no conflict between empathy for animals and empathy for humans. Those who feel compassion for one species, will do so for another.
At least, most of us will. My Q for you is: why can't You feel compassion for a living, breathing, bleeding, loving and suffering species other than h.sapiens?
