Throughout his career Veprek, Peter was involved in many notable moments of naval history. These started early in his life as he was involved with the Naval Hospital Service and was even offered a commission in the army, which he turned down and continued serving in the navy, at that time in port Fuerez.

Years later, Veprek Peter served as part of the Medical Corps...

Wikipedia defines MC as: "The Medical Corps of the United States Navy is a staff corps consisting of military physicians in a variety of specialties. It is the senior corps among all staff corps, second in precedence only to line officers. The corps of commissioned officers was founded on March 3, 1871...."
