You so called Christians should be ashamed of what you have turned into.
BS
I'LL GIVE YOU AN EXAMPLE OF ONE RIGHT IN YOUR OWN BACK YARD
St.Bede in Ingleside corner of Wilson and RT59 ( Catholic Church )
if you are from RL you know exactly where that is.
Once a month they feed the poor. A hot meal
no preaching ( except a dinner blessing ) no politics involved
no ID checks no nothing.
they have other stuff they do such as giveway clothes, blankets, can goods even furniture.

Cool Food Pantry in Ingleside less then a mile from RL
off of RT134 east of Wilson road
Part of a Lutheran Church dont know the name.

I know of about six more places in Lake County
all connected to various churches not the same religions either
all doing good work in your area. None of them push politics
not on their workers or those they serve.

you should be ashamed of the hate against churches you allowed in your soul
look instead at the truth
not just the deeds but into the souls of those who are serving the lord.
they could use your help.

I am quite familiar with St. Bedes...25 years ago when all I needed was to light a candle for my toddler son going into surgery the next morning I found a locked church. The rectory was open so I knocked on the door...I had to beg to be let into the Church and then was told to leave 10 bucks for the candle.

I also remember you posting about St. Bedes dinners, you were there as a taker not a giver. You moaned and complained about having to get there early because people were grabby.

I guess when you can't counter someone's point you just resort to spoofing their screen name. Thanks for admitting defeat.

all churches lock their doors. They are an easy target for thieves.
and some do charge money for services. Do you really think the collection plate pays for all the utilities , repairs , parking lot, clothes, cars, insurance, etc
No church can last on donations alone.
Even then you were asked not demanded to pay.
I have a feeling your stories are slanted and not really true.

you are either making all this stuff up or someone else is BS you.
I was a server there a few times.
The servers are from various organizations, businesses, charity groups, etc.
They provide the food and they serve it too.
There are no grabby people there.
1 ) the food is served to the people no way to be grabby
2 ) they have so much food people have 2nd and 3rd helping . some even take some home.

so i'm beginning to doubt all your comments.
I'm not patting myself on the back
by the grace of God go i
i've seen these places as well as medical centers that help those without insurance.
I used to donate blood being 0-Neg its always in demand,.
people going to food places, medical places, shelters, etc are not grabby people.
they are nice people who just whatever reason in life need help.
for you to say otherwise speaks volumes.

if you dont want help or advice that is fine
but dont speak against good places that do good work towards helping others.

So you too think some veteran fighting for our country should not get a Christmas card sent by a kid.
and you also agree with him that kids should not be singing songs to their parents at a schools Christmas pageant if they're true Christmas songs.
Just wanted to be sure that is the kind of hater you agree with .
Because i sure don't.

you see your so full hate towards me you can't bring yourself to agree with me even when the Christian part of you should.
which makes you a real phony about being a christian.
you like him are just another hater.
now you can hate me even more for exposing you for who you really are
just another true hater
I just went to my grandson's "Holiday"
program,the kids sang Christmas
songs, just no Jesus songs. It was

they both don't believe in Christmas ( so much for CaliGirl14 being a Christian )
they both don't believe veterans should get Christmas cards
they both don't believe in kids singing carols in school
so why should either of them get time off with pay for a holiday they don't believe in ?

i wonder what CaliGirl14 pastor would say about her posts ?
i see a religious lecture in her future someday from her pastor
Who said I don't celebrate Christmas?

oh please she isn't doing it because she wants to
she's a politician and she knows she needs co-operation to push other items threw the system.
You gays think your issue is the most important issue there is
its not even close
jobs, ecomony, schools, roads, a zillion more items are more important to any politician.
she knows she needs backing on those issues
she would probably love to fight for this issue but its just not worth the political heat right now.

if you read her book ( i did ) you would know her number one issue is securing the boarders.
in that respect i think she needs to keep up that fight more then any other.

Well, well, well.....

Another one bites the dust.

U.S. Judge Strikes Down Texas Ban on Same-Sex Marriage

— A federal judge in Texas struck down the state’s ban on same-sex marriage on Wednesday, ruling that the laws restricting marriage to a man and a woman violated the United States Constitution, handing gay-rights advocates a major legal victory in one of the nation’s biggest and most conservative states.

The judge wrote that the amendment to the state Constitution that Texas voters approved in 2005 defining marriage as between a man and a woman — and two similar laws passed in 1997 and 2003 — denied gay couples the right to marry and demeaned their dignity “for no legitimate reason.”

“Without a rational relation to a legitimate governmental purpose, state-imposed inequality can find no refuge in our United States Constitution,” wrote Judge Orlando L. Garcia of United States District Court for the Western District of Texas, in San Antonio.

Thank you for the kind words but its St.Bebe's that deserves the credit.
I don't know much.
I'm not catholic nor a member of that church.( i'm ELCA Lutheran )
What i do know is they been doing this for about a year.
The people running it are very nice. Not judgemental at all.
They don't ask any questions other than your name and address.
They use to mail flyers out but they said they are stopping that.
This to my knowledge is the only place in the Fox Lake area actually providing a hot meal for the needy.
There are a few places in Waukegan but unless you have to have transportation to get there.
Most people in need don't have gas money to spare.
So if you are in need of anything this seems like the best place to go around here.
If anyone knows about any other groups giving out hot meals or food i hope they will post them.
The crowd here had a lot of seniors in it.
I understand the first come first serve rule, but all things considered i would prefer if it was seniors move to the front of the line.
I saw one kid walking around with a huge bag of oranges.
I'm sure she was part of a large family and i'm glad to see them eating oranges rather than junk food.
But it would have been better IMHO if the orages were place 2-3 in a bag and given out to several families.
That would have helped a lot of single seniors who often can't eat hard food.
I'm not knocking how St.Bebe does things. I think its wonderful what they do.
I just would do it a bit differently.
I would limit the bags to adults only and divide up the food better so everyone can get a shot at any item.
If anyone can donate food especially for the hot meal dinner part it would really help.
They run out of the dinner food really quick. Within a half hour most of it is gone.
The bag food runs out of the main choices by the 3rd round of numbers. After that you're left with poor choices like ranch dressing. Not exactly a choice meal for the needy.
So my advice get there right at 4pm or sooner.
Be ready to get your dinner and bag food as soon as your number range is called.
