mine is a legit on topic question
yours is just typical BS dodge you lose all respect by it

1 ) does the church win - should the priest be defrocked and the gay marriage be annulled. Because it was the 2nd time against this church that marriage was performed without the church allowing it.

2 ) Does the marriage stand and the priest/pastor be allowed to perform gay marriages.
If so then it opens the door to a LEGAL PRECEDENT that a church which is against gay marriage with rules against gay marriages can be forced to have gay marriages against it.

Hence the gay agenda
Forcing churches that do not want to perform gay marriages because its against their beliefs to allow gay marriages in their church.

No, it isn't, and I'm not the only one who has pointed that out to you.

1. You're trolling, or
2. You're retarded.

Which is it, Earth Anal? It has to be one of the two. I'll keep asking because you keep dodging the question.

Honey, the only thing you have proven is that you are at best a half wit. The government has no jurisdiction over who a church marries. DAMN you are thick-headed!

What the hell does Obama have to do with this? Being a constitutional law professor, I'm sure he is well aware of the separation of church and state.

1 ) because he married them in a place he legally was not suppose to therefore he volatilized his license to marry.
2 ) do you even know what the term LEGAL PRECEDENT means ? The government already has tons of jurisdiction over churches. Just look at those nuns who didn't want to give out birth control. The government is going to force them to do it.

AGAIN this is about the gay agenda.
we disagree if they gay agenda will be successful or not.
I hope the church wins. I hope the government doesn't change any laws to favor gays over the church.
But that doesn't change the gay agenda and that is what i'm posting about
Both you and Dusty want to find loopholes about other items in what i wrote.
Even going so far as to claim i said things i never said in those post.
I then had to dummy down what i wrote just for you two,.
Fact still remains its a choice of two.
are you on the side of the church ? or of the priest ? Notice i never said the government in those two choices. That is part of your dodge.

You don't seem that bright either. Nazi's were atheists and socialists, but don't let those little facts stop you from spewing your hate.

The only true subject here is queer unions. Marriage is a man and a woman....period. Not a single state in the union, including California has passed gay marriage by popular vote. Only the liberal fruitcake courts have made it possible. It's destroying the moral fiber of this country.
And you are grossly ignorant oh great stupid one ! In fact there were 3 states in the last election that did in fact vote in marriage equality by POPULAR vote ! I'll let you Google them so that way you can actually learn something for a change instead of posting blatant lie's !

I believe that the Church had a right to oppose the marriage had its beliefs been strongly against it. To me that's just respect.
I don't believe that the priest should be 'defrocked' though. Isn't that a bit of an overkill? I don't know how the Church works, but could they not just have a meeting and talk about it? I don't think he meant anything disrespectful to the Church. Regardless of wether or not he did the wrong thing in the eyes of the Church, the couple have still been married and the ceremony was carried out and everything done right. Why should they have the marriage annulled? No law was broken.
I don't know you well enough to offer an example other than your wife. So please excuse me for using her in the following scenario:
Your wife is ill.....a doctor comes in and administers treatment. A miracle occurs and your wife does well responding to the treatment, a response you weren't expecting. A few days later you find that the attending doctor is a homosexual....do you deny your wife the treatment and put an end to it? Just because you believe that homosexuals are sexually defective and (in the Bibles eyes) are sinners.....an 'abomination'?
i'll answer the last part first.
it wouldn't bother me a bit if my doc or wife's doc was gay.
I don't know of any church stance on gays and the medical field. Maybe there is one but i don't it. HOWEVER i would be concerned if he had AIDS because one wrong slip of a knife and who knows what could happen. That would concern me.

Now for the first part. OK this is now the second time this has happen to the Methodist. And the first time they did defrock the priest. So i went with that as the punishment because it seems to be the going punishment. Yeah a bit harsh maybe a probation ? maybe no more marriages for him but everything else ok ? i could go with that.
But a law was broken.
The priest has to be LICENSE to perform a marriage.
Part of that license means you must follows the rules governing how, when, where, and under what circumstance you perform a marriage.
You can't just do it however you fell like it. There can be some restrictions on it.
I'm sure in this case this church was very clear about what marriages can take place in their church. I know a little bit about church rules.( not a Methodist i admit that ) and the churches i've been to took marriage very seriously. Very LEGALLY serious.
That is why the 1st priest was defrocked. And that is why the 2nd is also being CHARGED .

Yes, I suppose that things get 'heated'. As mentioned before though....I don't necessarily have to agree with you, or you agree with me, but keeping the insults and sarcasm out seems to be working. There is no right or wrong when it comes to opinions.....because they are purely a personal thought on a matter.
I agree
and by sharing DIFFERENT opinions one can see things in a light they didn't expect.
And even a bull head guy like me can change my mind rare as it may seem.
Plus i think we're setting the RIGHT example here.
Maybe others will take the hint and then some good discussions can happen for them too.
