Ace will probably have a different view or word it differently. But i'll take a shot at it.<quoted text>
I'd like to ask you something Ace if you don't mind...I've read in the OT God forbidding/detesting homosexuals and their acts, however I didn't see much in the NT. I'm led to beleive that the NT is what we go by and also anything repeated from the OT. So is it supposedly still a sin ir not?
The NT is really more the tell of Jesus how it came into the world and his impact upon the world. The OT is more of a history book of God and his creation of the world.
The reason why Jesus doesn't really specifically single out gays is because he doesn't single out any particular group for going to hell.
Instead his focus is on SAVING the sinner from hell. The best example IMHO is when he is on the cross with the 2 sinners on either side. Clearly one is going to join him in heaven and other will not. One admitted his sins and asked for forgiveness. He saw the light in Jesus. By the grace he was saved. The other could care less. He preferred to live in sin and he died in sin without being saved..
Point is the NT is the second half of the bible.
If the bible was the how to book then the OT would be how we got here what we are doing right and what we are doing wrong. And the NT would be how to fix the parts of our lives we're doing wrong in to get to where we need to go which is Heaven.
