Just had a look at your link....I'll be busy tonight!
if you go looking for hate you're sure to find it in the bible.
The bible also has plenty of love and the promise of forgiveness in it too.
But guys like you are not interested in that.
Funny how gays accuse Christians of being selective in their bible quotes but they themselves are also guilty of it.
Try reading it as whole next time. Maybe then you'll find the real message in it.
BTW it'll take you more then one night to read it. But its worth it.

Hang on...what do you mean "but guys like you are not interested in that"? I'm here to voice an opinion and to try and understand both sides of the arguement/debate. I've been to church and found it hypocritical but I still like to search both sides of an argument...I'm actually in the middle of it now.
BTW I'm not gay...I have 4 kids, 3 rabbits, 2 boobs and....well....you can figure the rest.
LOL. Gay marriage is only blessed in the eyes of man, not it the eyes of god.
Here is something many people won't want to hear that my church preaches. Heterosexual marriage is only recognized in the eyes of god if you are a christian, that makes perfect sense to me. Non-christian's is not living for god, so why should he give them his blessing?
So if you look at it in that sense, gay marriage is no worse off that non-christian heterosexual marriage.

lets see you called one person a bible thumper
and in another post you said you were going to spend the night reading from a hate site.
and you state church is hypocritical

my reference was about you looking for hate not looking for gay.
you certainly don't sound like someone looking at BOTH sides of the argument/debate
i think you made of your mind already
if anything its you being hypocritical in saying you're looking at both sides when clearly your not.

Good point.
Many gays love to state that there are different churches preaching different things.
Here is a great example of it.
Some churches won't marry anyone not of that faith.
i've even seen one that required at least one be a member of that particular church.
some churches don't care if you of that faith just so long as you say you believe in God.
But you're right the bottom line is if you don't believe in God your marriage is a sham and NOT blessed by God. Even if you are married in a church.
And while all three types i mentioned do it differently the bottom line remains the same.
Gays just don't get that part.
Personally i think at least one should at least belong to that faith to be married in a church of that faith. Again that is my view.

i totally agree.
i've said along the way to resolve this would have been to make a civil union fully equal in legal rights to a marriage.
I'm sure most Christians could live that.
The main issue for Christians is we don't want them married in a Church.
But gays refuse to fight to improve civil union to full legal benefits.
The problem really is gays want to be married in a church to defile churches.
Its a hate thing for them. And how is that in going to be blessed by God.

and Dusty calls me foul language all the time yet i don't read you complaining about that.
Or any of the other gays and atheist who post swear words.

I find people who live and breath the bible to the point of obsession are scarey and mostly rude to others. That's why I called it hypocritical.
Thanks again
Being rude and scary is NOT the definition of Hypocritical.

Hypocrite is a person who acts in contradiction to his or her stated beliefs or feelings

We go to church NOT because we are free of sin but rather because we ARE sinners.
We acknowledge we are sinners and ask God for forgiveness. That does not make us hypocrites because we do acknowledge our faults.
The real hypocrites are the ones that demand Christians to hold a standard they know no one including themselves can hold to.

This is where I find it hypocritical. Christians (to my understanding) don't generally like to swear because it is unbecoming and God apparently doesn't like it. Atheists don't care....that's not to say it's right.
There are heaps of comments on this thread and admittedly I haven't read them all so maybe I've not come across as fair. Also I tend to miss things in my writings because my fingers tend to type ahead of my thoughts.
Look, if I've offended you with my wording I sincerely apoligise. Dusty has a really offensive approach to people. His problem
Dusty is a true hypocrite.
He claims not only to be a Christian but also to have worked for a church for 30 years.
and when it comes to swearing he's the biggest offender in here on either side.
I dont swear nor need to.
I can put someone down real easy without swearing.. I do it by telling them the truth.

Too late, we have marriage equality. What part of that isn't getting through your thick skull?

Again, you brazenly attempt to speak for "most" Christians.

Speak for your own Church. Many churches willingly perform any marriage and NO CHURCH HAS EVER BEEN FORCED to perform a SSM. NONE. NOT ONE. This is a really BS argument because NO CHURCH HAS EVER BEEN FORCED to perform a SSM.

I'd be sarcastic about this, but you'd run with it because you're merely trolling. This is a lie, dearie, ain't nobody getting married just to piss off your congregation. Paranoid much?

i'm positive REAL TRUTH is straight.
but the back and forth was about oral gay sex
so when RABNEW offers oral sex its not much of a stretch to think its in reference for gay oral sex.
Just because i'm positive REAL TRUTH is straight doesn't mean RABNEW knows it too.
In any event i don't know too many straight women bluntly offering oral sex.

here is a set back for gays ( that would be you Dusty ) who engage in anal sex.
i wonder if these 2 cured gays were still having unprotected anal sex.
yeah probably so. Fools never learn.

Maybe these doctors should be working on a cure for being gay.
