1:*sigh* At the risk of being flamed, I am really ambivalent about cutting.
I think it's just a newer way teens (mostly girls) deal with stuff, and many outgrow it.
I am not minimizing serious issues...it's just....so many have so many issues all the bloody time; it gets exhausting trying to coddle them.
They do things and whine so everyone can fawn around them and say it's okay, then they get okay and get sad no one is coddling them! I just have such small patience for martyrs.
I'm not sure why so many girls act this way.

3: My dad is constantly buying more life insurance for everyone and anyone. it's his way of ensuring we're taken care of, I'm sure.
Plus, with bro gone, he wants to make sure my nieces (and any kids I might have) are taken care of, too.

Now my bro gets it all! Ha!,
See, if I mistakenly thought I was gonna be gone in a few months, and my mother was a millionaire, I would have her spend as much money on me as she could, just so my brother would get that much less.

Then, when the time I should have died comes and goes, I'd have the last laugh!

Bwahahaha!

But that's just me

LW3 - my gramma left most everything to her sister... there were some assets in trust from my grandfather taht my mom & her sister got, too; the house, bought in 1970, had appreciated mightily. my mom has made comments that we'll be set when they "shuffle off", but we're not counting on it. given that both my parents have outlasted 3 of 4 of my grandparents, now, statistically, they'll hang on for decades and need whatever cash they have. ;-)

we're not counting on anything from them, and we will enjoy whatever we do get and hope to honor them when we do get whatever we get. and, on the flipside, i'm starting to wonder about leaving a legacy when we go...
