not true at all...

b4 you believe the hype please do your own research. Visit any Jamaica website which is features the "dancehall" / party seen. On these many sites you will see straights and Gays dancing side by side. I feel you can use these sites as great indicators bc you will see all mostly locals in the grimiest of places and any and everything dangerous can and do take place in those places. If Gays are in such danger, why would they party alongside the scary locals.

If you were to read Jamaican news you will be surprised to find that most of the violence committed against Gays in Jamaica are committed by jealous gay lovers.

Gays trample on Jamaica because some use the wave it creates to gain asylum from American while others trample Jamaica in order to get the Jamaican musicians to change there music lyrics because it is so influence.

It amazes me how gays can say it is ok for a man to love a man but they have a problem when jamaican musicians say that it should be man loving woman only....smh

Jamaica has the same level of risk for Gays as any other place, including America. You will find some who love it & you will find some who hate it.

BTS, I believe gays are no safer in the USA than they are in America. But here's the difference: Jamaica had the NERVE to take her stand, and it was different than the USA. And for that, Jamaica must be punished! I think that's really what's going on. How DARE you nation of black folk decide to have your own opinion! Just WHO do you think you are anyway?

But seriously, Jamaica must be respected for her stand, just like other countries are respected for their stand. Whether one disagrees or does not disagree, Jamaica still has the right to set her own laws, and have her own opinion, even if it is different from America's. Whoever does not like that, it's OK. Stay away if you will. Jamaica will continue to thrive.

You're nuts. There are a large number of species that have a percentage of their population that are exclusively gay and refuse to mate with the opposite sex. Obviously it's genetic.
The day we can isolate a "gay gene" the nation will never see a larger growth of the pro-life movement, because after that a cheap detection test is only months away...

With the entire gay thing two gays are off the market right away, so that's the great thing. On the other hand, nothing stirs my basic urges as fast as watching two cute chicks making out. Just like a great threesome is the HolyGrail of most alpha-males and quite a few women. So if I have put up with SOME gay stuff in order for me&wife to continue having some extra fun, I'll accept that.

Jamaica is thriving...you are not Jamaican...you are a hater, and that is why you are in America, not Jamaica! When you shed the typical American arrogance that you have, then you may be able to tear yourself away from your own American propaganda, and tune in to Jamaican news, exyardiewife!

A friend of mine was in Jamaica about 5 years ago. He stayed with some friends in Kingston, not far away from TrenchTown. Jamaicans are warm, happy and informal people, but I can totally see the modern Democrat party with their WhiteHorse Cultural imperialism pee them off.

If Gays don't like the place then just don't go there, but don't drag others into that. Also, I would trust most former British-Caribbean islands as today preserving British old culture and tradition to solve any crime better than CHI police can stop the shootings. Also, wake up if you still is so gullible to think that we can continue to bully us around the world.

Finally, at least gays in Jamaica has more security than in throwback nations, so if the point is gay rights start criticizing Saudi-Arabia or today's Russia instead.

Honduras, which the United Nations deems the world's deadliest nation, has a murder rate around 70 times higher than Australia's.
'In 2011 alone, the number of deaths in Honduras soared to 7,104 or one person killed every 74 minutes,' a National Human Rights Commission annual report in the Central American country of just over eight million found.
The World Health Organisation says the normal homicide rate is 8.8 per 10,000 inhabitants; in recent years, Honduras' murder rate has been as high as 10 times the 'normal' rate.
Honduras leads 207 countries with its murder rate this year, according to a UN study that estimated it at 82.1 deaths per 100,000 people. It is followed in the region by El Salvador (66) and Guatemala (41.4).
Australia, by comparison, had a murder rate of only 1.16 per 100,000 people in 2010. Monaco, Iceland and Japan were the three safest countries.
Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador have some of the highest murder rates in the world and have seen violent gang crime intensify in recent years with incursions from Mexican drug cartels.
Around 90 per cent of the cocaine which arrives in the United States passes through Central America and Mexico.

I wonder what that murder rate is compared to a selectice look at the murder rate in southside Chicago? I think even the worst parts of Mexico comes short here.

Comes short of what? What are you trying to compare here? What are you trying to compare to southside Chicago and the worst parts of Mexico, LiveFreeOrDie?

Well, it gets worse than that. A while back I even read that it was more dangerous to be a resident in the south side of Chicago than being one in Baghdad during the worst of the suicide bombings.

Are the murder rates higher in that confined area than any other place of the world? I don't know, but something tells me I'm not far off.

You are probably right! If one took the more populous areas of the world, and then compared their per capita murder rates, you may find that many of the dangerous places in the world are in America!

its the forbidden fruit syndrome, most dont even want equal marriage rights, this is not being fought for the ordinary man but for the right to let archibishops and church ministers insult GOD while presiding over the church congregation, a religious conspiracy. They dont care about the average man, you can have your sexual rights but no other priviledges.

As bad is some folks say it is in Jamaica, it can't compare to what The Congo, Uganda and Iran are doing to homosexuals.
Also...it is certainly not as bad as some LGBT citizens are having it in allegedly 'FREE First World' countries either...I'm sure if this victim of this article below could let you know, and many of those LGBT citizens in these types of countries will tell you, they are just as susceptible to either the same or even worse intolerance in their 'developed' nations than they would be met up against in 'Third World' countries like Jamaica!

So...Let's see what is being said about some places in America, about the intolerance of LGBT persons...take it away, New York!

Better that those that want to talk about the intolerance that is seen in Jamaica in regards to LGBT persons, better check THEIR OWN BACKYARD FIRST!

Hi! I blogged too long, my last blog, and lost
everthing I blogged. I said I was using an alias
and that I was going to try and lead us through the
tribulation and end of the world scenario. I believe
in Jesus Christ and I am a Roman Catholic. I,also,
believe in space aliens. If aliens are real, they are our friends. I will not blog too long. I get
censored on Topix and there are Alqaida web sites
on line who are teaching how to make bombs with
instructions and everything. See next blog

Hi! Next blog on the way. There was a political
cartoon, in the newspaper, showing a U.S. Army
plane transport soldier dropping weapons to The
Syrian Rebel Army. It showed a rope attached to the box of weapons and the rope was tangled around
the souldiers leg...The cartoonist meant that after
we gave the Syrian rebels weapons, we would next
send U.S.A. Army soldiers into Syria to fight on the side of the rebel soldiers. I will post this
and blog again immediately...I have alot to say
today....signed joe jo 25

Hi! joe joe 25 is having good luck blogging. Put
"space aliens" in the top browser line of your
computer and you will find out what the space aliens are saying...like...The human race will not
be saved by Jesus Christ or Krishna, but they will
be saved by space alien intervention! According to
visionaries of Jesus and Mary, the earth was supposed to end in the year 2000! It didn`t end in
the year 2000, but we are 13 years closer. The
Christian Bible says: "The world will end with a
shout!" Enough said. However, we still could have
more warring and natural disasters, before the
world ends. Pray about that. I will post and blog
some more. Love joe jo 25

Hi! Who is blogging? I have 6 college credits in
computers. I have electrician training in the U.S.
Navy, where I served on a cruiser and a destroyer
for a total of 4 years! I have had a certain amount of miracles happen to me, in my 71 years of
life! I have caught about 100 people who were slayed in the spirit after prayer! I have seen the
miracle of the sun about 1000 times....and rainbows
around the sun as many times. In one of my prayer
groups we had cancer cured through intercesary
prayer. The story of that cancer healing...One
night a man asked for prayer for a woman, who had
cancer, and lived 12 miles away....Next week our
prayer group met and the man said: "The woman we
prayed for last week got healed of her cancer!" Enough said. I will post this blog...
