Have those things been outlawed? Can you show me some law somewhere (in America) that says that saying "merry christmas" is illegal. Seems to me that would fly right in the face of the first amendment.

Caroling? That got outlawed too?

Where? Ummm I am familiar with lots of places, even right here in the dark blue liberal paradise that is Washington state that put on christmas plays...so yeah.

And where are these things prohibited? In your home? In your church? In your mall? I bet that you could even do those things down at the volunteer firehouse, your bar, and your private enterprise job.
In fact I bet even the post office would let you do it there, if they did not have a policy of letting their land be used for private purposes.

What I think your gripe is that tax dollars,,, MY TAX DOLLARS! are not used to fund and promote YOUR religious beliefs. Well too F*'N bad buddy. I dont believe in your god. You know, The one that encourages you to marry horses and blow up dolls and lamps, and I really dont want to see a manger scene of a horse giving birth to a Centaur displayed in front of my post office!

Who has ever told you to not say "Merry Christmas"? I honestly dont believe anyone has ever forbidden you from saying it. If the had, you should have punched them in the nose.

Do you just read the attention grabbing headlines?

"But what about in the workplace? If a federal worker wishes to say that to a colleague, do they get reprimanded?

To explore this, we examined federal rules, spoke with labor unions that represent government workers and interviewed lawyers with expertise in federal rules. The upshot: It's perfectly acceptable to say "Merry Christmas!" (Or "Happy Hanukkah!")

We started with "Memorandum on Religious Exercise and Religious Expression in the Federal Workplace," issued Aug. 14, 1997, by President Bill Clinton. We found the rule was respectful of employees' rights to express their religious preference:

"First, agencies shall permit employees to engage in personal religious expression (as they must permit other constitutionally valued expression) to the greatest extent possible, consistent with interests in workplace efficiency and requirements of law."

“Public assembly and public address, except when conducted or sponsored by the Postal Service, are prohibited in lobbies and other interior areas open to the public,” the spokesperson told Fox News & Commentary.

“We have rules and regulations governing conduct on postal property,” the spokesman said.“The only reason you should be inside is for postal business.”

Sounds to me like a grumpy pain in the ass postal worker on a power trip. Not against the law.

Wrong again. IF you bothered to read more than the first five words...the actual SUBSTANCE of what was being said, you would see that you're wrong. Oh wait, I forgot. You refuse to admit you're ever wrong. Sad really. People would have a lot more respect (like any) for you if you could ever just say "I stand corrected." Sad.

Point is, people are actively trying to suppress Christmas even though it's a religious freedom. Have gay sex in a park and no one bats an eye.

Wow, doesn't look like I'm the gullible one. Even with proof you won't believe it. Those were just one examples, I can provide many more.

The article actually says that it's not true that christmas is under attack. You should try reading it.

3: Conservative "news" site...biased
4: Can't sing religious songs in a PUBLIC school...yeah separation of church and state, per the constitution. Duh.

Is there a war on religion? I don't think so, but there SHOULD be. Not only should congress "impose no law..." there should be an absolute law AGAINST promotion of religion and other fairytales in any public forum. Unfortunately the religious types still have a stranglehold on the country, politics, and the laws. Look around you whiney little bitchboy, the Christians run the goddamn country. It's all any NON-Christian can do to avoid the fall out from the BS at every single turn.

Disclaimer: For those of you who are cool about your beliefs and basically live your lives without trying to shove them down everyone else's throats all...the...time, you guys are way cool and I totally respect your right to believe and practice your beliefs. Edog is a douchebag of the highest order IMO and his "proof" is only about 9/10th as irritating as his insistence that he is right, everyone else is wrong, and needs to believe as he does.
