As a consumer I want to know that the product I'm purchasing and using is not going to harm me (I want to be sure that my laptop is not going to explode in my lap, for examle)

How important is "safety" a motivating factor when making a purchase?

Would you like a productís safety information readily available when making a purchase? If so how?
