I was just f'n with you, but now you seem to be saying those who died and were able to be buried in cemetaries don't deserve as much respect as those who died on 911. Maybe that grave you are ok with dancing on is for a retired war hero. Or a cop who saved many lives over the course of his career.

You wanna say ground zero deserves more reverence because ot was the site of a national tradgedy, ok. But when you start talking about respect for the dead, why does a stockbroker who was in the wrong place at the wtong time deser e more respect than the guy buried on the neigborhood cemetary?

This is your Dresden's namesake.
This is what happened to Camp Douglas, situated in Chicago, 1035 E 67th in Chicago about 10 blocks south of the Museum of Science and Industry. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Camp_Douglas_%28...
Modern day
Today, condominiums fill most of the site where Camp Douglas stood. For many years, a local funeral home built on the site maintained prisoner records and a Confederate flag at half-staff. The business closed December 31, 2007. In 2012 an archeological dig at the site was conducted by college students and children from the neighborhood. A group called Camp Douglas Restoration Foundation, formed in 2010, hopes to spur the development of a permanent museum on the site..
My point is that the location of mass casualties caused by acts of war or terrorism should be honored but not sanctified.
So what? That was during wartime. Totally incomparable to 9/11, where innocent civilians were killed by terrorism. That area is sacred ground, despite your anti-American sentiment

TSTI as usual.
HAHAAHahahahahahahhhhahahahaha ha!
I have no doubt about your craziness, but WWII ended about 40 yrs before I was born, so forgive me for not knowing about all the sordid details. We were taught about D-day, Iwo-Jima, Pearl Harbor, the atomic bombs, and that's about it. And I didn't even pay much attention to those because I'm not much of a history buff. I paid more attention in history class to the hot blond in short shorts sitting next to me

Anyway, wasn't ground zero paid for with private donations? Those job creators deserve a little taste for their efforts. Do these guys think that privatization is free? America is a business- NOT socialism. 4000 men and women died in the wrong country to ensure that.
I assume you hadn't read my post with teh link before you wrote this.

Was the Ground Zero memorial privately funded? I haven't looked it up. Regardless, it is a site due respect . Are you suggesting it be treated like the Ka'aba and visitors as if they are on a Hajj? I don't think it should.

It is even more hilarious that you are so proud of your ignorance that you felt compelled to point it out TWICE! TSTI, that's you.

I'll do it a third time. Just learned about this so-called "Dresden" incident today. At least I don't sound like a braying mule. Who won WWII, BTW?

I see both sides.
Museums have to be run, lights come on, people are paid. Where else would it come from?
The gift shop is OTT and the restaurant grossly unnecessary, but no one is forced to go. I can pay respect without paying their fee.
Isn't the Pearl Harbor museum costly? Holocaust museums have gift shops.

I think this should have been more of an open park/reflection pond deal, like the Vietname Wall memorial or something.

But people are into making money. The greed from TPTB don't shock me anymore.

It's not my job to educate you, especially as you've shown yourself to be intentionally and determinedly ignorant on many occasions.
Go do your own studying.
TSTI.
Still laughing at you, and I'm not alone.

I have already admitted that i am biased. To me the souls of 911 are special, more deserving or respect. I cant articulate why, but to me, it is the same as Arlington. It is one thing to have a picnic and rememberance of those who are lost and quite another to have a "Function" where people groom themselves as if they are the ones that died. They did nothing to earn that. They gave their money for a noble cause, and all nobel causes should be honored in silence, not pomp and ceremony.

If someone died from old age, alheimers, car crash or suicide, its a tragady, but do die because you were living the American dream... To die because you went to work, and some bastard thought your life meaningless..To Attack not just America, but to attack us all. No, those souls need to be preserved, they need to be enshrined, so that we ALL understand what is at stake, and how easily it can all be taken away.

I am not saying any one person deserves more respect than another, but what I am saying is that the reason they died is.
The people who died on the Arizona are just as important as the people who died in the CA earthquakes, its not the fact that they died, its HOW the died. For some, it was a tragedy, for others it was a senseless act of brutality. The How is what needs to be remembered.

Would anyone even blink of this guy sent out a father's day message imploring the deadbeat dads to clean up their act, get a job, and be a father their kids deserve?

I think Bill Cosby took some heat when he said black men need to "step up" and be better fathers/husbands/men and quit complaining about everything
