I dont shop online, I hate the thought of my info out in cyberspace. I suppose if I got a card that had a limit that I could top off again (do they make pre-paid refillable debit cards?), which would limit my loss, I might be more inclined.
I get my daughter to buy me stuff on ebay with her account (pay-pal?) and I give her the money with a finders fee included.

I dont hate the president, I hate the economy and obammacare.
During WWII the unemployment rate was zero, so by your logic the economy is in terrible shape compared to that. And that my friend is why statistics are made up numbers.
Your claim of how rosy the economy is flawed and its truth is tied to what flavor kool aid you like. Insisting things are great simply because you refuse to admit that our president is not the chosen one is myopic. He's just a man, and a flawed one at that. And 7% of Americans cant find work, so go tell them how great everything is and how wonderful the president is.

My claim of how rosy the economy is?....Really?....You haven't even been reading my posts.....Good Luck....

I wouldn't call 51% a "wide margin."

Saying "Proof the economy is Vastly improved", sure sounds like you painting a rosy picture to me. But I guess you hate to be tripped up by your own words...
Good luck to you too!

Yeah, its there but not on some flimsy file server to get hacked, I dont think I was targeted at Target even though I have used my debit card for purchases there.

Do you distinguish between the "unemployment rate" and the "economy" or are they the same
thing? If their different to you, how do you define the "economy"

If you used any type of plastic at a Target store during the relevant period, you are at risk.

It was an attack on the point of sale software. I have not heard whether on-line purchases were exposed as well.

You do realize, that many of the times you hear about a hack its not at the VENDOR, but at the 3rd party processor? Vendor contracts with a credit card processor(not the credit card company) to handle the processing of the transactions? I've had several occasions where my CC company has cancelled my card and sent me a new one as a security measure because a processor got hacked. These processors can have clients big and small. From the mega chains to the mom and pop internet mail order porn dvd site.

http://www.dallasnews.com/business/retail/201...

Bottom line, you use any plastic anywhere, you have a chance of getting hacked. I think this discussion began with a reference to shopping on Amazon. I think its safe to say that the biggest retailer on the web who depends 100% on credit card transactions for their operations takes security as seriously as any brick and mortar store that will swipe your card at the register. Hell they probably take it more seriously. Thinking you are more safe by not using it online is a false sense of security. ALL CC transactions are processed online.
