Yeah, its there but not on some flimsy file server to get hacked, I dont think I was targeted at Target even though I have used my debit card for purchases there.
<quoted text>
You do realize, that many of the times you hear about a hack its not at the VENDOR, but at the 3rd party processor? Vendor contracts with a credit card processor(not the credit card company) to handle the processing of the transactions? I've had several occasions where my CC company has cancelled my card and sent me a new one as a security measure because a processor got hacked. These processors can have clients big and small. From the mega chains to the mom and pop internet mail order porn dvd site.

http://www.dallasnews.com/business/retail/201...

Bottom line, you use any plastic anywhere, you have a chance of getting hacked. I think this discussion began with a reference to shopping on Amazon. I think its safe to say that the biggest retailer on the web who depends 100% on credit card transactions for their operations takes security as seriously as any brick and mortar store that will swipe your card at the register. Hell they probably take it more seriously. Thinking you are more safe by not using it online is a false sense of security. ALL CC transactions are processed online.

See, you have to go so far left to defend your position. I never denied what you said, I only disputed your assertion that obamma has made the world a better place. But any blemish pointed out on your golden boy and you fly into a rage calling them crazy and insisting they are wearing tin foil hats, when in fact, you're the one wearing it, trying to protect yourself and your messiah from ever having to face the facts of his failures.
7% unemployment is not something you or your clueless leader should be crowing about,
There is a fact you cant deny, so you simply ignore it. But you call me clueless so you dont have to answer it. Yeah, nobody can figure you out (eye roll)

A lot of folks have stopped looking for jobs and a lot of folks have taken low pay jobs that they are way overqualified for. Anyone who reads what is going on knows this. This isn't partisan rhetoric ... it's the truth.

DUDE! I so would've if I had seen this in time.
I don't have internet on my phone (or text, I know I know) so I did not see it until now.
I presented at NOVA yesterday and bailed on it today. It was warmer and beautiful and I found the 5 Guys neat A1A and then cruised north on it, windows down, music blaring......lovely.

Maybe next year.

I remember the early '80s when the cell phones were big clunky things. Had a friend who was in real estate and had one.

At the time, I couldn't understand why most people would want one. Now you couldn't pry my cell phone away from me!

I want to ask "Did you show her your boobies!? That will make her feel better." That is not appropriate on any other forum but here, though.

Pretty amazing how far technology has come in just a few years. There is an ad on the radio here for Geico (car insurance company) thanking the person who invented the mouse. It says that because of that invention, people can click on Geico.com and save money. I think it would have been cute 10 years ago, but I wonder how many people use a mouse anymore.

Speaking of technology, I can't find a Topix app for my iPad and I can't comment when I get to the site through Safari (the comment box disappears). Help?

Amazing...and scary. I still eschew technology if at all possible.
No texting, no phone internet.
All the spying/tracking, plus I'd rather not be connected to other humans 24/7. Ugh, leave me alone, I say!:)
