I did that this week with pixx. Remember her? She is having a really really shitty December, so I asked her for her email address, then sent her an amazon gift card
We're all having a shtty December! An Amazon gift card would do nothing for me! Send me a mortgage payment!

And Red, doctors are... doctors. Not psychics. Don't put a tag on your toe just yet. And eat asparagus. I heard somewhere that asparagus lowers cancer cells.

I gave Angelique benefit of the doubt but I didn't ever really get to "friend" level with her as others did. So I can understand how some others felt differently when it all blew up. I'm not going to be harsh on people for trusting then feeling betrayed. People are trusting ME right now, and we all have read the rare news stories of people who faked cancer to get money, gifts, attention, etc. even being duped by a close loved one.
I sort of would rather people err on the side of belief than assume the worst in others all the time.
That happened on the Main Forum. Sublime is friendly with the woman who did it. If you are faking your death here and on the Washington Post Whatever or anywhere else, I don't care. I'm not gonna ask for a death certificate. You people are entertainment whether you're lying or dying, kinda like Tonka once wrote about everybody being characters. The thing about Angelique is that 3+ years later, she's still miffed and chasing me. I could quit Topix for good or fake my death. You once wished me dead just for posting here. That little slice of karma was 3+ years ago. How'd that work out for you? I come here for fun. I make fun of Sublime because he invites it AND he lets it get to him. Same with race. Same with Angelique..

Is angelique still posing as that name? Or onto something completely different?

If I wished you dead, you're probably an asshole who needs to go find some friends. I can't imagine wasting time by being a big faker here or anywhere else.

I no longer wish people (like bad drivers) dead. Now, instead, I wish for their children to not qualify for any financial aid or scholarships for college. So there.

Either way, I'm 100% real and it doesnt' bother me that some may not believe me. I can't do anything about it. I'm having a pretty good time finding out how awesome my friends are, both in real life (like the three coworkers who came over for lunch today, which was so much fun) and online (like the people who post at caringbridge and give me some excellent advice and tips).

I am a very fortunate person on this planet. Having my ride cut short doesn't make that less true.

I like Sub when he's being nice and normal. When he's on a rant or internet fight with one of you guys, not so much. I like when he talks about his kids.

Or shares stories about his nutty neighbor! I like Tonka's cute stories about his boys being polite and funny. I like how PE worked hard to get her daughters through college without debt (such a great gift). Lots of good people here.

I think of Matilda when I see someone no FB ragging on Nickelback.:)

You might be on the level.IDK. You seem to be trying real hard prove it to me. Even I have real life friends and family- but I know I would say that, now wouldn't I? I hope that if I have to die a slow, lingering death, I won't bother going on line. we're all day-to-day anyway.

I don't follow this angelique stuff. Once she was exposed, I dropped the whole thing. I have no interest in a bunch of fakers.

In fact, the only time her name comes up is when someone like YOU appears here and mentions her. The rest of us don't give it a second thought. I highly doubt that edog or most others even remember her name until you appear and her name is mentioned. Big whoop.

Meanwhile, I have to go shopping for a pillow that will let me sleep sitting up, leaning slightly over. I've been falling asleep sitting up... leaning over until my head is resting on my ipad on my bed! It's time to admit defeat! It feels so good to sleep!(I can't sleep in more than 90-minute increments right now.)

Just had mom's homemade beef stew for the first time in AGES. She brought some to me a month or two ago, but I ended up in the hospital and it went bad. Ugh. A crime against humanity. My taste buds have been impacted by the meds, so most of my food has no flavor (including the spicy horseradish on my sandwich at the Wild game last night -- I couldn't taste a thing, but Nick said it was very strong). But I can taste the beef stew about 50/50, which provided me with some comfort. Who doesn't love childhood comfort food?

Tomorrow night, the women from my softball team are coming over to hang Christmas lights for me!!! i'm psyched! I've been wanting christmas lights hung year-round for years but never did it. Now I"m doing it. Blue lights (10 boxes) for the living room, long hallway, and dining room, and green lights (2 boxes) for the small green sunroom. I can't drive any longer, and one of my teammates wants to buy my car, so that works out GREAT, as we were going to sell it anyway.

Friday night is a friend's bday party, so we'll hit the bar for that. My brother is coming to town for Christmas, so he'll sleep in my bed, I'll stay with Nick. Saturday I'm watching the 6yo's hockey practice, then we go to Nick's parents to help wrap presents. Sunday we're going to friends' house to watch the Chiefs win (I even ordered a Chiefs shirt online to support them!). Monday I meet with the lung surgeon who operated on me two weeks ago, then we (mom/brother/me) hit the casino for the day (our family christmas tradition!).

Then Christmas Eve, my brother comes back down from my mom's place to join Nick's family's christmas Eve celebration. They're being very welcoming and it's a very fun party/celebration, so I'm glad he has something fun to do with us. Bingo, gift exchange, booze, great food. Nick's family does a fun holiday.

Okay, my first cry of the day. I went out to caringbridge to check the guestbook (people ask questions and stuff, so I try to stay caught up and address them in the journal updates). My FAVORITE NURSE - Kevin - posted! He was wonderful. My nursing care has been outstanding and he was just stellar. We bonded right away, he called me "Ang," and he was everything a sick person could ask for. And funny. And comforting. And his 12-hour nursing partner was just as wonderful - Rita.

I called Rita my first night at home because I screwed up my meds and accidentally overlapped my 12-hour morphine pills by six hours... and ended up hallucinating. It wasn't scary, but it kept me from sleeping that night. Rita laughed her butt off when I told her what I'd done. Then she abruptly stopped and said, "Oh, I'm sorry, Angela, am I supposed to call 911 for you or something?" Heh. No. Just tell Kevin what I did. I'll survive.

I mean, for nurses to post in a caring bridge guestbook? That's taking caring to another level in my book. I'm pretty touched by that.

Okay, done with sickness posts. I'll try to get back into the column commenting tomorrow. It'd be nice to try to get some normal routine back into my days.

Sounds great. I didn't ask though.

BTW, how do you "know" I'm Ferrerman? Am I the only one on Topix NOT omniscient? Just wondering.

Oh, I don't know you're ferrerman. Did I say you are? I didn't mean to imply that you are him. I have no clue who you are. Truly. Crunchy bacon? Raptor? I can't keep all that stuff straight. I didn't assume you were him, he's the only consistent name I knew to mention and he's nuts, so that's why I mentioned him.

You don't seem like him, anyway.

So, no, I don't think you're ferrerman. He just seems to appear after his name gets mentioned, like a succubus or demon! Then he spouts a bunch of liberal stuff, which I agree with, but it's embarrassing having him on my side!

LOL! I'm pretty sure you did but that was a general question for the audience really. It's just always bemused me that people (all over Topix actually) are always certain it's me. Like no one ever uses a proxy? Like 'Edog' suddenly showing as San Francisco or 'Timmy' suddenly swapping coasts? I've had trolls tell me I was 'so and so' and, of course, they're really telling others so, that's the point of that. No big deal. I was just curious..

Oh, i'd be surprised if you were ferrerman, you just don't seem to have his syntax/sound.

I never use a proxy. Seems more trouble than it's worth. I don't use this site for "entertainment" the way you (and others) do, though. So I dunno.

So waht's next, peeps? Four-way stop debate?:)

You're taking me kinda hard! Sheesh.

First impressions- I had you figured as a gay guy because of the kind of sex you boasted about liking. Turns out you're just a freaky girl? Nothing wrong with that. You talked tougher than all the guys put together and knew all the good porn sites, too.

So, it was no picnic knowing you were a democrat either.

I'm most definitely Ferrerman. I'll leave the hiding to Troll Professor race, Sublime and, of course, Angelique. I just like to keep people guessing since they will anyway.
