Thanks. This was a good weekend for me football-wise. Schiano won and so did the Jags (I have cheered for them since the franchise started). Rutgers was off so they couldn't lose.

Why does it only compare Black and White? How does this data compare to Asian-Americans or Hispanics? Also, is the author claiming this is a uniquely American observation or is this standard globally?
Similarly, in education, it's always black and white.
The Hispanics consistently score higher than blacks, and many have a language barrier.
The achievement gap (b/w) is evident by 4th grade and most of it is cultural, but no one is allowed to talk about it so nothing ever really gets changed.

We talk some hispanics down in the south, and no one mentions those Asian kids--but they usually kick butt and care about education.

I was shocked that the Jags did'nt sign Tebow....Seeing as how, filling the stadium is their biggest need and all? He would fill the stands and come in cheap, maybe...lol...

We have the largest Indian-American community in the US. Whole 'nother set of cultural issues.

I thought I pretty much nailed it. Did you know that I'm part African-American? Well, just from the waist down.

Hawaii legalized same sex marriage. State # 15. That's 42.8% of the states…almost half.

It makes me sad that we're still only "almost half" in the year 2013, but at least we're getting closer! Take the small victories where you can--go Hawaii!

My nephew just arrived in Hawaii (to live there) last week. He must have tipped the scales.

I'm glad to see some equality coming into America. Over 48% is a start. I have no doubt it will be 80% of the states very soon.

You're right. Dunno what I was dividing earlier. Proves I should stay away from math I guess. Still that's almost ⅓.
