3+3*3-3+3=?

PEMDAS, also known as order of operations, stands for Parentheses, Exponents, Multiplication and Division, Addition and Subtraction. There are no parentheses or exponents in this equation, so you then look for multiplication and division (3x3, which equals 9). Then you add and subtract. 3+9-3+3 =12

More liberal "New Age" math, Everybody's always right. If Johnny says 2+2-2*2 = 0, then it does, forget that the rest of us know it to be 4.

Not new anything. These have always been the rules of order.

Oh yeah? Well what did they do before exponents and parenthesis were invented?

Omg, the girls who live next door were outside screeching again. There dad just sits there and says "the kids are kind of loud." I have a headache and my boys were out there playing with them, so I felt that I was well within my rights to walk over and tell all of them that screeching is not acceptable and they need to stop.

I try not to judge other peoples' parenting, but my neighbors need to enforce limits with their daughters. This guy NEVER says no to them.

Yes, happy children screeching in delight is totally unacceptable. What was that man thinking. Couldnt they have been learning their times tables or something?

Occasional days of screeching kids is not going to burn my cookies, but every day after school would.

I give scarlet a pass though cause she had a headache, but next time she needs to put on white noise and go into the basement.

If it was just occasional, I could deal. This is every day, glass-breaking screeching, though. I was finally at the point where I had to say something. If you know your kids are annoyingly loud, it is your job to tell them to tone it down. Instead, they have contests to see who can screech the loudest and highest.

Yeah, thats a deal breaker. I have seen kids like that. Its not about the fun, its about the screaming. Thats when the parents need to get involved.
