Ah, Facebook. I've seen the downside and now I've seen the upside. Just Face-stigated and found out that Jasper and PMS are going to a theme park in Orlando (had to catch myself before I typed the name of it!) instead of down here this weekend. Now I won't have to wonder if we'll run into each other.
If I see them you want me to trip them??? I'd do that for you!

Wait, Mimi's not DEAD! She's very ill (probably pneumonia) and has a near-death experience (...there was this warm white light, and I swear, Angel was there....and she looked GOOD!)
But Angel tells Mimi to go back (..turn around, girl, and listen to that boy's song!), so Mimi's fever breaks and she wakes up.
Yes, Mimi (and Roger!) have HIV/AIDS and will most likely die young -- but it won't be that day. As for April (Roger's former girlfriend who died), she didn't die of AIDS. She cut her wrists in the bathtub after being diagnosed.
LOL, I love musicals! And many of them are pretty dark underneath. Opera, ya know! Keith, on the other hand, doesn't care for them. I took him to Sweeney Todd, and he said, "Oh, it was all right....except for all that damn singing!" Uh, Sweetie...it's a musical!
Yes, Rent is La Boheme. And West Side Story is Romeo & Juliet. An The Lion King is Hamlet.
Just goes to show that I don't remember Rent well enough because I probably lost interest. Sorry. I never saw the movie btw.

The Lion King is Hamlet ???!! Richard III with the Princes in the Tower surviving maybe, but Hamlet? nuh uh.

They can suck it and learn to skip posts. I don't particularly want to read about musicals.(Although the only musical I ever saw was "Oliver" and thought it was pretty good.)
Which is playing in Oak Brook at the moment I believe ... in case you want to go to your happy place.( gentle chiding, not a dig)

Ha! I had to stop myself from wishing rain on Orlando all weekend. It's been so rainy here, that's likely to backfire on me karma-wise.
;)

Are you going to Orlando too?

My happy place is in Oak Brook? And I already saw Oliver, I have no desire to see it again. Wanted to see Wicked but never made it. I have the book, though! Got about 40 pages into it and completely lost interest.

Weeken plans, folks? Did we do this already? I don't think so.

TOnight: Date night. Buffalo Wild Wings and then Kohl's, then home to watch the Wild-Blackhawks game at 8:30. While I do laundry, as the washing machine died last night.

Rest of the weekend: Whatever I want! Cabin opener got moved (lake is still covered with ice)(it snowed for several hours today here, by the way).

Tonight: Watching the Hawks, then going to the casino. A bunch of us decided that, once we all had our bonuses and tax returns, we'd have a casino night. About 15 of us are going, it should be fun. One of our friends is really good at poker, we're each giving him $200 to play with.

Saturday: Going to a Mexican-themed Derby party, then out for Cinco festivities.

Sunday: Errands, then softball. A couple friends convinced me to join a rec team, we'll see how that goes.

Have fun, but remember carrying the team gear is heavy work.

You tryin' to get to first base with her?
You suggesting she is out in left field?
You suggesting that she be scorekeeper - a slap on the strikes and a kiss on the balls?(apologies to Dick Biondi for that one)

Loved WIcked! Saw it years ago in Chicago, then saw it again in January in Tampa. Took my daughter, who loved it as well!

Which reminds me that I promised her the other day that I'd order her the soundtrack!
