Yeah, I admit that the possibility of RA was in the back of my mind but seeing posts here got me kind of nervous.

I thought I was invnicible.

Fred Savage seems to have done okay, too.
They seem to have all had better support systems than many of those from earlier days.
I still say it's a proportional thing of how eft up the parents are.
Seems the screwed up ones had parents who were living through them, or who abandoned them either actually or emotionally.
(Had to google Kaley Cuoco, had no idea who she was)

I knew a guy about 20 years ago who had his doctors convinced that cocaine was teh treatment of choice for his kind of migraine headaches. His doctors bought into the theory, how and why is beyond me.

I think teh invincible drug is something else though, not coke.

I know angel dust/pcp gives people superhuman strength. It can take a team of cops to subdue someone on that.

Yeah and after he's tossed a couple of cops around and they taze him, next thing you know, his heart stops and the cops are labeled bad guys, and there is a push to remove tazers from a cops weapon choice.

Totally bogus. peeps on crack need to be treated like they on crack!

Heh, so apparently my MIL was cool with my SIL being engaged because she didn't understand what all that entailed.
Meaning she didn't understand that it means marriage is imminent?

Awkward, I guess? She wasn't sobbing, just tears.

Yeah. I think she thought it was "Oh, we're engaged, but we're not getting married until we're 30." And I guarantee they told her all that stuff initially, she was just...coming up with her own answers to her questions in her head or something.

There is a lot to be said for delaying your first child until the girl is 22. Emotional maturity, education, ability to get and keep a job, run a household.

Your SIL will be 19 or 20 when she gets married? From a church based school, an early pregnacy will not be frowned on from a married couple.

Do you see any improvement in her organizational or housekeeping skills?

I was in ER when I was 17 (appendix) and they brought in some guy on PCP. O....M...F...G!!! It took like 6 cops (actual PD) plus three or four other guys, and a shot of something to get him down. There was no way to miss it. He tore UP that emergency room. This was after he broke out of the metal reinforced restraints. Bad bad bad drug.

They'll both be 20. And yeah, I know the culture of these schools/churches. Get hitched early, so you can bang. Next step is a kid, regardless if you're prepared.

Yeah, quite a bit improved. I guess her room at school is fairly neat and she leaves her room neat here when she leaves. He's a self professed neat freak.
