Heh: More:

Listen, on Armageddon do Me a favor: No gum, OK? Show some class.

Every time the Pope denounces superficial living I want to shout "Dude, look at what you're wearing."

Hanukkah commemorates the last time anyone was able to reduce their dependence on foreign oil for as much as a week.

Well that was 13.7 billion years of existence I'll never get back.

What. A. Day. I'm physically and emotionally exhausted. But I'll get all this done! There is no other option.

Hello! I guess I'm back in the land of the living. Holy cow, did I have a stressful day yesterday. I've been buried in work and was supposed to be traveling today but kind of a big problem popped up late yesterday so I'm here fixing it instead (not my fault, but my problem to deal with). Also, Jasper and I had a pretty emotional conversation in which we decided that we're definitely not together, just friends, etc. and then that Taylor Swift song kept going through my head...

I got together with A last night and that was a great way to unwind. Today is a new day and I'm ready to tackle my work project and get on with my life.

Sorry about your day.

The only advice I can give is stop listening to Taylor Swift!

Dude, I know.

I wasn't seeking out Taylor Swift and I didn't even have the radio on yesterday but I've heard the song so much and it's been in my head anyway... and now it totally applies.

I've heard Pink's "Blow Me One Last Kiss" a lot lately too. I might take a break from pop music altogether for a few days, actually. This is depressing.

My go-to song for heartache is Bonnie Raitt's "Goin' Wild for you baby" and a few others by her.

A toast to Michigan Republicans edog! It is gonna be funny to watch the left throw a hissy fit.

They want the republicans to let the people have a referendum on it. The republicans should say when democrats (who passed Obamacare in much the same way as the Wisconsin republicans and Michigan repbulicans limited collective bargaining) let the people have a referendum on Obamacare, they will be willing to do the same.

So we FINALLY got the evite for Christmas Eve at Nick's aunt's house.(We had been wondering who would host -- her or her daughter.) In it, she dictates that for the "nice" gift exchange (as opposed to white elephant), NO GIFT CARDS. Um, too late. The gift is supposed to be $15-$20, I spent $25 and did the same thing last year (gift card to Caribou, a Starbucks-like Minnesota coffee chain), and people fought over it (nicely). What else am I supposed to get for a group gift grab where I don't know who wants what?

She also added to bring housewarming gifts/essentials for Nick's brother's new home (she listed stuff like kleenex, aluminum foil, etc.).

I told NIck that I'll choose my own gift, tyvm, and he'll get it when he finally moves out of his parents' basement (he's been there for over 3 years now, and has bought a house, but we've seen no signs of him actually MOVING).
