I have no idea why someone had a problem with my answer. There are a couple of restaurants (Three Happiness being one of them) that are excellent, located in Chinatown which is basically around 26th and Cermak -- right?

You were expecting "Panda Express"?

I think your response might have come across as sarcastic, but I thought it was cute.

I really want to finally introduce the girls to Buttercup and Westly, but I'm still afraid that some of it is too scary.

The R.O.U.S.'s come to mind, and that part about Westly being mostly dead.

My girls' imaginators work overtime...

Sarcastic? Me? Hahaha.

A good friend emailed me this morning with this little tidbit:

"I have a glass of wine every night for my health.
The rest of the bottle is for my witty comebacks and dance moves."

I'll adopt that.

I love it!!! That has to be the coolest thing I have seen all year.

Why is everything making me cry today, though? I just spent 8 hours on the phone with people from my town either leaving messages or talking to them because poll clerk training was cancelled tonight. So many people here still don't have power. They are scared and tired.

I wish I could invite them all to my house, but that would mean cleaning up first and I am too lazy to do that. Maybe I'll get around to it tomorrow. My kids are still in their pajamas. Actually, so am I.

JamWow, your parents would be welcome here, except that the roads still aren't all that safe to drive on and we are supposed to be rationing gas.

You're sweet and very generous; however, you have enough to do. You should take a well deserved break.

Is there a very casual restaurant or a VFW post or something somewhere nearby where everyone can meet, have pizza, have a beer or a glass of wine or a Pepsi for that matter, sit down and decompress about the horrendous week? That way you don't have to "host" and everyone can just relax. If you have power, a place like that somewhere nearby has to have power as well.

Just sayin'. I think you could use a night of relaxation as well.

Mixed change, no quarters, 2.5-2.75 inches high, 7" diameter container. Turned out to be over $76.

My bank! I ran a contest at work today and the math geeks were all over it! I took guesses and said the closest guess gets a ton of homemade cookies.

Turns out, NICK guessed closest (but I only let him join the guessing, his guess doesn't count for the contest). So the next best guess is my ex and wonderful friend, D. Called him tonight, he laughed!

Oh, I took the container into the office b/c I had tgo take my car to the mechanic and I didn't want to leave it in there whiel I had the loaner.

Thought I had to have a transmission speed sensor replaced. My mechanic thought it'd look that way as well. Turns out, MICE chewed through my main housing wires.$335 to repair. Beats the $5K it would have cost to REPLACE the main housing wires.
