Finally really awake and catching up... things seem to have taken an odd turn here.
News about kids- I think it always ripped me up, but then again, I find it hard to remember not being a mom.
Grossness while eating- as long as it's just on tv or listening/reading, eh. No big deal.
Grooming we're like Jasper and JamWow.
Bear and I spent hours last night with two of our favourite SF authors. They don't just tell good stories on paper, it was a blast.
Life is getting interesting.
Two and a half rooms down and eight to go.
I'm starting to gain momentum.
I love this post, because you started out acknowledging how weird things got, and then answered all the weird-related questions.

Did we ever do a "weekend plans" Q&A today?

Picked up the dogs from the kennel/vet/groomer, then instantly cleaned the house when I got home. I had leftover stuffed peppers for dinner, and some wine (still working on that) and watched Survivor on the DVR and am about to catch up on Real Housewives of Miami. My excuse for not going out tonight - besides wanting to hang out with my dogs - is the weather. Hurricane Sandy makes for beautiful balcony lounging but treacherous driving.

Tomorrow: lunch & pedicures with two friends, then watching the Gator game, then at night hanging out with the famous A who has the weekend off because her douchebag - I mean boyfriend - is out of town for work.

Sunday: church, then watching football at Duffy's (local sports bar chain) with A. I'm going to make the most of her free weekend while trying not to make her sick of me.

Oh! And I keep forgetting to tell people this, but I won a $50 Amazon gift card at the conference I went to yesterday. I *never* win stuff and I LOVE Amazon, so I was super excited. Already loaded it onto my account and spent around %15....

Getting an Amazon gift card is as flexible as getting a visa gift card! Cool!

Tonight at poker, I decided to make cookies as an end of the year "Thank yoU!" to the four guys who run and host the tournaments.

Now it's time for a cocktail.

I'm glad I walked the dogs an hour ago because I can hear the rain pounding against the windows now. Trying not to think about it being romantic weather or cuddle weather. I've really been doing pretty well for the most part, in general.

That was me! I hope you find the book as interesting as I did. The only controlling relationship I recall being in, lasted only six weeks because he pissed me off so much.(he also had road rage and a very big sense of "i'll show YOU" attitude toward the casino when he lost his money.)

I'm very opinionated in relationships, but I'm not bossy.

I'm glad you have a strong fortitude, jmw, that first chapter starts out with a hell of a shocker. It's AMAZING.

I hate to beat a dead horse, but jmw, I can't awit for you to read it and give me/us your feedback! I see things so differently now! I mean, he covers all kinds of weird behavior and gives such good analysis and predictability of human behavior!

Have any women here used a chemical peel on their facial skin?

I haven't, but my friend's sister did several years ago. Right after the procedure, she looked like she had a sunburn - pink and a little oozy. But she was very happy with the results once it healed. I don't know how long they lasted though, I haven't seen her in awhile.

<sigh> Midterms already. I hate the quarter (as opposed to semester) system. The second I get into my groove, it's half over. Then I turn around and it's a whole new quarter to get into, rinse repeat.

I Wonder if it's gonna be like this when I grow up and get a real job like all of you guys.:D

I'm going to post this on FB in a couple of days (not today because it is my grandparents' anniversary and I already posted their pics today - don't want to post too many things in one day).

However, since I'm not FB friends with all of you, I'll post it here now. I wish I had this guy for a teacher when I was in school. http://online.wsj.com/article/SB1000087239639...
