Did the UN lie to them too?
Stop insisting on proving how dumb your side can be.
Quit yer lying, you stupid old hag!!

The rest of the world didn't believe Bush. He stampeded stupid Americans like you into a war with his lies, all of which have been proven. No WMD's, no nothing.

The UN refused to authorize Bush's stupid war, you idiot.

France, Russia, Mexico, Canada, China, Germany, Brazil and most other nations of the world saw it for wat it was..........open aggression.

BTW, how did it work out??

We lost, and the Middle East is on fire, thanks to stupid Repugnants.

Iraq War was the biggest disaster of this new century. And we will reap the poison it created.

Our government had nothing to do with the UN or its resolutions regarding Saddam's WMDs. The first resolution was in 1991. That was during Clinton's presidency if you recall.

Resolution 687 Bans Iraq WMD ::: April 3, 1991
Shortly after Iraq is ejected from Kuwait by an international military coalition, the United Nations Security Council passes its first resolution addressing Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) in Iraq. Resolution 687 states that Iraq must destroy its presumed stockpile of WMD, and the means to produce them. It also limits the country's ballistic missile capability.

Resolution 715 Demands Compliance ::: Oct. 11, 1991
Responding to Iraq's consistent efforts to interrupt or block inspection teams, the U.N. Security Council passes Resolution 715. The resolution says Iraq must "accept unconditionally the inspectors and all other personnel designated by the Special Commission".

'Defensive' Biological Weapons ::: May 1992
Iraq officially admits to having had a "defensive" biological weapons program. Weeks later, UNSCOM begins the destruction of Iraq's chemical weapons program. Progress is halted in July when Iraq refuses an inspection team access to the Ministry of Agriculture.

Denial and Acceptance ::: 1993
Inspections are again held up when Iraq attempts to deny UNSCOM and the IAEA the use of their own aircraft in Iraq. In late 1993 Iraq accepts resolution 715.

And on and on it went for another ten years. The heat just got hotter under Saddam's attempts to defy the world.

""Women Don't Think The GOP Cares About Them, Internal Report Confirms""
"A new internal Republican report confirmed that women are not fans of the GOP, and Republicans have more work to do if they want the female vote.
The report, which was obtained by Politico, found that although Republicans have tried to improve outreach to female voters, women still believe the party is "stuck in the past" and "intolerant." Forty-nine percent of women polled for the report looked on the GOP unfavorably. Only 39 percent felt that way about the Democratic Party.
The study was commissioned by two conservative groups: Karl Rove's Crossroads GPS and the American Action Network.
It offered a stark picture of how women view the Republican Party as a whole. Women are "barely receptive" to the party's policy proposals, the report said, in part because Republicans "fail to speak to women in the different circumstances in which they live."
The report drew its conclusions from focus group discussions and a poll of 800 registered women voters. In top issue areas, such as health care, the economy and education, the poll found that Democrats held a huge advantage. For example, when considering which side "wants to make health care more affordable," the women surveyed chose the Democratic Party by a 39 percent margin. They also said that a policy of equal pay for equal work would "help women the most.""

Because if there's any criticism on my part of Bush taking down Saddam's regime when he did, it's not knowing what those "serious consequences" would have been.
But, even so, the UN gave him 15 resolutions and years of time to get rid of his WMDs. They probably would have been surprised too.

The most interesting news about Fox News is that for some years now it has been damaging the right far more than the left. As a pair of political analysts wrote at Reuters last year,“When the mainstream media reigned supreme, between 1952 and 1988, Republicans won seven out of the ten presidential elections,” but since 1992, when “conservative media began to flourish”(first with Rush Limbaugh’s ascendancy, then with Fox), Democrats have won the popular vote five out of six times. You’d think they’d be well advised to leave Fox News to its own devices so that it can continue to shoot its own party in the foot.

The notion that Fox News has been defeated would seem absurd if you judge solely by the numbers. The year just ended was the network’s twelfth in a row as the most-watched cable-news network. Its number of total viewers surpasses CNN and MSNBC combined. As the longtime Rupert Murdoch–Fox News watcher Michael Wolff wrote of the cumulative 2013 ratings,“Nobody has come close to competing” with Ailes.“He gets larger, everybody else gets lesser.” But as Wolff also observed,“The cable audience, for all the attention heaped on it for its theoretical political sway, is not that large.” To put it mildly. As the overwhelming leader in its field, Fox draws just over a million viewers in prime time—a pittance and a niche next to even the ever-declining network newscasts, of which the lowest rated (CBS Evening News) still can attract a nightly audience as large as 8 million.

Fox News’s political sway in the real world, as opposed to its power to drive MSNBC viewers and their fellow travelers nuts and to generate ridicule from late-night comics, is also on the wane. Speaking to the Television Critics Association in Los Angeles in January, Jeff Zucker, the former NBC chief executive now trying to revive CNN (averaging a mere 568,000 prime-time viewers in 2013), complained like countless before him that Fox is an arm of the GOP “masquerading as a cable-news channel.” It doesn’t take rocket science to figure that out: No fewer than five Republican presidential hopefuls, not to mention Karl Rove and Glenn Beck, were on-camera as paid Fox personalities at the start of the 2012 election season; Murdoch is a GOP donor; and Ailes is a former Republican political operative whose partisan record extends back to his big break as Richard Nixon’s media guru in 1968. But there’s nothing in Fox’s viewership numbers, either in magnitude or in demographic hue, to suggest that there’s a significant number of voting-age Americans who at this point do not already know that Fox News is a GOP auxiliary and view it, hate-watch it, or avoid it accordingly. The masquerade that Zucker seems to find a revelation was unmasked years ago.

and now some nutjob will castigate me for obsessing on FOX while they obsess on my obsession.

To keep an eye on or to promote regime change can all occur without an INVASION.
What part of that don't you whiners get.
The UN had been repeatedly denied access to many of Saddam's facilities and scientists.

The first UN resolution was passed in 1991. There were 15 more to come. That should tell you something if you used your brain instead of parroting your brainwashing.

Saddam admitted early on he had WMDs but destroyed them. Yet UNSCOM was still denied total access to prove this over and over again.

Ten years later, the UN finally got to the point of issuing "serious consequences" if Saddam did not comply with their demands.

Again, this should tell you something if you could think for yourself.

If you're going to insist Bush lied to the Democrats about Saddam, there are only three scenarios to prove you're right.
1. Bush changed the worldwide Intel information of which they were privy hoping they wouldn't find out.
2. The UN lied to them too.
Or...
3. They really weren't as easily duped as you must think and knew exactly what the rest of world knew and used the excuse of being lied to for political advantage.
Now you have to pick the one that backs up your claim.

""Study: Bush, aides made 935 false statements in run-up to war""

"WASHINGTON (CNN)-- President Bush and his top aides publicly made 935 false statements about the security risk posed by Iraq in the two years following September 11, 2001, according to a study released Tuesday by two nonprofit journalism groups.

"In short, the Bush administration led the nation to war on the basis of erroneous information that it methodically propagated and that culminated in military action against Iraq on March 19, 2003," reads an overview of the examination, conducted by the Center for Public Integrity and its affiliated group, the Fund for Independence in Journalism.

According to the study, Bush and seven top officials -- including Vice President Dick Cheney, former Secretary of State Colin Powell and then-National Security Adviser Condoleezza Rice -- made 935 false statements about Iraq during those two years.

The study was based on a searchable database compiled of primary sources, such as official government transcripts and speeches, and secondary sources -- mainly quotes from major media organizations. ""
