War was declared on western civilization thirteen years ago on September 11.
When Defense Secretary publicly stated that ISIL is “beyond anything that we’ve seen” and poses a greater terrorism threat than Al Qaeda, doing nothing certainly means we have no chance of winning.
Is that something you don't understand or just don't want to understand?
You have things backwards. WE are the ones who declared war on the Middle East. Not the other way around. No one declared war on western civilization. You can't go to "war" with a bunch of radicals who are not representative of any country. Yes, ISIL is "beyond anything we've seen" and that is exactly why we should only fight them as part of an International coalition of other nations.

Iowa Candidate: If Illegal Immigrants Aren’t Given Amnesty, There Will Be More Terrorists in America

By Kevin Boyd 8 hours ago

A Democrat member of the Iowa House of Representatives and nominee for the IA-01 Congressional race says that we need to grant illegal immigrants amnesty or they will become terrorists. Pat Murphy said this on an interview with Iowa Public Radio, when he was asked about the border crisis.
The Daily Caller reported the comment:
Speaking with Iowa Public Radio host Ben Kieffer, Murphy said that “we need to make sure that we take care of the children that are coming up here.”

“They’re not from Mexico, they’re coming from further south,” Murphy continued.“We need to make sure that when we’re talking about these children we need to treat them like they’re our children or our grandchildren.

If they’re gonna be refugees, which several of them are going to be, we need to make sure that we have—one, we take care of them, and we create a pathway for citizenship and set up education for them so they don’t become the same problem that we’re currently having in the Middle East—that they’ll be terrorists a generation from now.”
Representative Murphy is overlooking the role of ideology in motivating terrorism; for example, Islamic extremism. As CNN reported in 2013, based on the terrorism think tank START’s statistics:
Although terrorism touched 85 countries last year, just three – Pakistan, Iraq and Afghanistan – suffered more than half of 2012’s attacks (55%) and fatalities (62%).
While many academics and experts attempt to link terrorism to socio-economic disparity or poverty, this does not explain why there is a heavy concentration of terrorism incidents in the Islamic-dominated Middle East, but sparse counts of terrorism attacks and fatalities in impoverished regions elsewhere.
Ideology matters. North America, by contrast to Asia, the Middle East and North Africa, represents only a tiny fraction of terrorist attacks worldwide by location. In addition, many deadly Islamist terrorist attacks are carried out by rich Muslims, and not poor ones.
This is not say that the majority of Muslims are terrorists, but that there are a high number of terrorists who carry out deadly attacks in the name of Islam. There are very few terrorists who carry out such violent acts in the name of “amnesty” or “jobs.”

Reuters)- It was just after midnight on July 4 when at least two dozen U.S. Delta Force commandos arrived on heavily armed Black Hawk helicopters in Akrishi, a small town near the eastern Syrian city of Raqqa on the bank of the Euphrates River.
Before they landed to search for American hostages including journalist James Foley, they destroyed a crucial target: anti-aircraft weapons at a jihadist base about 3 miles (5 km) southeast of the city, a stronghold of Islamic State militants seeking to build a monolithic Islamic state.
The above account and other details of the raid have emerged from witnesses who spoke with a member of a Syrian opposition activist group, who identified himself as Abu Ibrahim al Raqaoui. Raqaoui told the information to Reuters in an interview via Skype from inside Syria.
His group also posted witness accounts of the raid on Facebook soon after it took place. The posts, which were viewed by Reuters, have since been taken down.
"The raid happened just after midnight," Raqaoui said. "The helicopters first started destroying anti-aircraft weapons.”Reuters could not verify the account.
The White House publicized details of the raid on Wednesday, a day after Islamic State jihadists posted a video showing Foley being beheaded. The White House said the commandos failed to find Foley or other hostages and that it was prompted to make the announcement after several U.S. news organizations learned of the operation.
The U.S. military incursion into the heart of Islamic State territory, made on U.S. Independence Day, ended in disappointment when the soldiers found no prisoners.
why is the US publicizing a failed rescue mission???......

Once again, an unarmed black teenager has been killed in a highly questionable police shooting, this time in suburban St. Louis on Saturday.
Michael Brown, just 18 and two days from starting college, is dead. It appears from eyewitness accounts that – like Trayvon Martin – he was not involved in any sort of underlying crime that would warrant the use of deadly force.
Rather, like Trayvon, he was “walking while black.”
All too often, young black men in our society are viewed as potential criminals. They are targeted for arrest and incarceration more than anyone else. In schools, they are disproportionately subjected to harsh discipline. They fill our overcrowded prisons, often for crimes associated with the failed war on drugs. They are arrested for drug offenses at three to five times the rate of whites, even though drug use among whites is comparable.
Because of racial profiling and a history of discriminatory policies, many in the black community do not trust law enforcement. The distrust is a recipe for tragedy. No one gets the benefit of the doubt.
Obviously, the FBI needs to get to the bottom of what happened.
But resolving this case is only a start. There’s a larger issue – a crisis, in fact.
As a nation, we urgently need to rethink our approach to criminal justice. Our entire criminal justice system has mushroomed in the past four decades, in large part because certain politicians have made it a strategy to stoke fear among white people – fear about young black men.
Young men like Michael – and their families – are paying the price.

In Cincinnati, the police were being accused of being racists in certain communities at one time and stopped policing those communities. The crime rate went up 800%.

They were protecting the very people accusing them of being racists from other blacks committing those crimes.

No. You have things very backwards. We were not at war anywhere in the Middle East until 9/11 after al Qaeda declared war on us. ISIL is a bigger threat and war is all they have on their minds.

If you can assess Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel's public statement that ISIL is “beyond anything that we’ve seen” and poses a greater terrorism threat than Al Qaeda and provide a logical perspective, you might be able to redeem yourself.
Hagel will either recant or resign shortly.....

While national news media continue to focus on race in Ferguson, Missouri, where a white police officer shot and killed an unarmed black teenager, they apparently don’t think a similar case in Utah with the races reversed is that newsworthy.

Police in Salt Lake City are continuing their probe into an Aug. 11 shooting outside a 7-Eleven convenience store, when a black police officer, whom local media are referring to as “not white,” shot and killed 20-year-old Dillon Taylor, who was unarmed at the time, according to his supporters.

Police Chief Chris Burbank said the entire incident was captured on the body camera of the officer who shot Taylor.

“You will see on camera … the actions of everyone involved, including up to the point where our officer utilizes deadly force and his response thereafter,” Burbank told reporters.

He said the video, along with the officer’s identity, will be released at the “appropriate” time, adding it could be days, weeks or months.
