A federal judge ruled on Monday that an Alabama law requiring abortion providers to have admitting privileges at local hospitals is unconstitutional.
U.S. District Judge Myron Thompson said the new law, which evidence shows would have closed three out of Alabama's five abortion clinics, imposes an "undue burden" on women's ability to seek an abortion.
"A significant number of the women would be prevented from obtaining an abortion; others would be delayed in obtaining abortions, exposing them to greater risks of complications; and even the women who are able to obtain abortions would suffer significant harms in terms of time, financial cost, and invasion of privacy," Thompson wrote in the opinion.
The law also increases the risk that women who could not access legal abortion would take matters into their own hands, Thompson said. One abortion provider "testified that she has already begun to see a few patients a month who had attempted to self-abort using illegally obtained medications, because the medications were less expensive than a supervised abortion," Thompson wrote. "At the worst, there is a danger that women would attempt surgical abortions on themselves."

Nuc here’s a Fact!! The 1964 Civil Rights Act was passed by Republicans and that’s the Facts Jack!!
The Republican party of today is not the same as the Republican party of 1964:

"I like the Civil Rights Act in a sense that it ended discrimination in all public domains. I abhor racism. I think it's a bad business decision to ever exclude anybody from your restaurant. But at the same time, I do believe in private ownership. There's 10 different titles, you know, to the Civil Rights Act. One deals with private institutions, and had I been around, I would have tried to modify that." (Rand Paul, 2010)

Exactly, but Carol will deny it to the day she dies.
"They should act more responsibly, or pay the consequences'.
Evangelicals are all about punishment.
Carol ignores:
""For in the way you judge, you will be judged; and by your standard of measure, it will be measured to you. ""
Killing a developing human being as a way to condone bad behavior in a civilized society isn't how civilized people think. But liberals have taken justifying uncivilized behavior to a whole new level.

There's a way to prevent unwanted pregnancies and, with enough pressure from society to make unwanted pregnancies more taboo, a lot more women would be a lot less casual about having unprotected sex and a lot more responsible.

Abortion has become an acceptable alternative to birth control. Killing a human life is now considered an acceptable solution to a very preventable inconvenience.

But I know this goes right over your and Lily's head. It requires the ability to grasp common sense and the common decency aspect of a civilized mentality.

( CNSNews.com )- The total federal debt of the U.S. government has now increased more than $7 trillion during the slightly more than five and a half years Barack Obama has been president.
That is more than the debt increased under all U.S. presidents from George Washington through Bill Clinton combined, and it is more debt than was accumulated in the first 227 years of this nation's existence--from 1776 through 2003.
The debt under Obama has risen higher then all previous presidents combined.
The debt under Bush has risen higher then all previous presidents combined.
The debt under Clinton has risen higher then all previous presidents combined.
The debt under Reagan has risen higher then all previous presidents combined.

Get a clue.

LOL. You do realize, of course, that it was the Republicans in Congress that were "wasting time" on the Affordable Care Act don't you? They voted 33 times to repeal it! And now, they are "wasting time" on a loser lawsuit. Whats wrong with you people?
What you neglect to understand - or fail to grasp - or can't get your head around - is many Democrats up for reelection now wish to gracious Obamacare had been repealed.

The GOP would have done them and all of us a favor. Obamacare is already a huge chaotic mess and it's only just begun.

You act like they wanted to repeal something that's actually going to work. Obamacare was a failure right out of the starting gate.

Wait until a huge number of Americans find out in a few more months they no longer have employer-based insurance and will have to pay thousands up front just to see a physician.

You will regret having been so blind.

If you put a tiger in a cage, starve it and stick a pointed stick in it's eye long enough, it will (justifiably) attack you when it gets a chance. Besides, Israel's rockets are A-bombs compared to those of Hamas.

And, AGAIN, Nancy Pelosi never claimed Hamas is a humanitarian institution. You people are so desperate you have relegated yourselves to spreading nothing but lies. Pathetic.

Not at all

Obamacare
But now, months removed from the political storm that resulted from the botched rollout of the law and as more Americans begin receiving healthcare under the program, many Republicans have a more nuanced view of its importance.

House Republicans are broadening their once-singular focus on the healthcare law and headed into an extended summer break without delivering on their promise to advance an alternative.
For much of the summer, in fact, the issue has receded as both a topic of daily assaults in Congress and on the campaign trail. The once-common House votes to repeal Obamacare have been replaced by a probe into improper Internal Revenue Service targeting, hearings into treatment delays for veterans and a Republican push to sue or even impeach President Obama on allegations of overstepping his constitutional bounds.

Perhaps the most obvious sign of the shift has been what is seen, or not, in television advertising in key states. The percentage of broadcast television ads focused on Obamacare dipped in the spring, according to a study conducted by Kantar Media/CMAG, a nonpartisan media-tracking firm, for the Cook Political Report. The study found, however, that the percentage of Obamacare ads rose again in July.

Would love to see you and Lily witness an actual abortion. Better yet, for both of you to turn on that industrial strength vacuum and suck a human being into it.

My hope is your and Lily's sanctimonious ignorance would go right out the window.

My fear, however, is that you both would do it and give each other a high five afterwards.

Could you suck a human being with a heartbeat and functioning organs and a central nervous system into an industrial strength vacuum? And still be able to sleep at night?
