In a defiant statement, a spokesman for the fast-food industry today lashed out at fast-food workers’”outrageous and unacceptable demand to be considered human beings.”
Arguing that “granting fast food workers anything beyond a grim, scraping existence would put a serious dent in our profits,” the Fast Food Restaurant Council spokesman Tracy Klugian said.“Considering our workers human would be ruinous to the fast food industry as we know it.”
But Mr. Klugian was quick to point out that the controversy was about more than money:“It’s about dignity and respect—two things this industry has zero tolerance for.”
As fast food workers mounted protests across the country, the industry spokesman urged them to abandon their “reckless quest for human status” at once.
“They have to ask themselves, why did they want to work in the fast food industry to begin with?” he said.“Anyone who walks into one of our restaurants should realize that it’s no place for humans.”

They want to punish the women for having sex; so they can't afford to travel to another state to get an abortion, they will attempt to self abort; then they can charge them with murder.
This is what Carol calls morality. This is part of their war on women; poor women. The wealthy women will always be able to get abortions.
Exactly, but Carol will deny it to the day she dies.

"They should act more responsibly, or pay the consequences'.

Evangelicals are all about punishment.

Carol ignores:

""For in the way you judge, you will be judged; and by your standard of measure, it will be measured to you. ""

"In those neighborhoods, 35% of residents are now considered to be below the poverty line, defined as a family of four making $23,492 or less in 2012."
It's about income and the decline in earnings in the middle class.
"Much of the outflow of population from urban cores to suburbs has historically been middle- and upper-income. That is less true now.”

Obama should have spent more time focusing on turning this around than his failed legacy of Obamacare.
Think how much time was wasted on this - and him - and a decline in full-time jobs to part-time because of it is causing even more distress among the middle class.
It's about the economy, stupid.(Think whoever said that was talking about you.)
Not about Obama's self-imposed legacy that has failed miserably.
LOL. You do realize, of course, that it was the Republicans in Congress that were "wasting time" on the Affordable Care Act don't you? They voted 33 times to repeal it! And now, they are "wasting time" on a loser lawsuit. Whats wrong with you people?

They ARE good at making mountains out of mole hills.
It all started when McConnell said that his wife was the only Kentucky woman to serve in a president's cabinet, which she did under former President George W. Bush.
To that, Kathy Groob, who owns a political consulting firm tweeted:
"Hey Mitch, nothing against your wife and spouses should be off limits; since you mentioned, She isn't from KY, she is Asian."
The Kentucky Democratic Party tweeted: "These comments are abhorrent and have no place in Kentucky politics. We strongly denounce them."
That's all there was to it. Nutcases like kvetch are the ones who have taken the incident and run with it by claiming McConnell's wife was called a "chink". It's what they do.
the facts speak for themselves about the anti-Asian racism of the DemoKKKrat party, where Asian-American students are the primary victims of affirmative action.....

Alabama Abortion Clinic Law Ruled Unconstitutional
A federal judge ruled on Monday that an Alabama law requiring abortion providers to have admitting privileges at local hospitals is unconstitutional.
U.S. District Judge Myron Thompson said the new law, which evidence shows would have closed three out of Alabama's five abortion clinics, imposes an "undue burden" on women's ability to seek an abortion.
"A significant number of the women would be prevented from obtaining an abortion; others would be delayed in obtaining abortions, exposing them to greater risks of complications; and even the women who are able to obtain abortions would suffer significant harms in terms of time, financial cost, and invasion of privacy," Thompson wrote in the opinion.
The law also increases the risk that women who could not access legal abortion would take matters into their own hands, Thompson said. One abortion provider "testified that she has already begun to see a few patients a month who had attempted to self-abort using illegally obtained medications, because the medications were less expensive than a supervised abortion," Thompson wrote. "At the worst, there is a danger that women would attempt surgical abortions on themselves."
----------
what in hell is wrong with these right wing hate mongers??
The ruling is great news.

The Republican governor who signed the law called abortion "a fundamental assault on the sanctity of innocent human life." Glad to see the Federal judge saw the law for what it was...a fundamental assault on women's rights.

But at the same time, I do believe in private ownership. There's 10 different titles, you know, to the Civil Rights Act. One deals with private institutions, and had I been around, I would have tried to modify that." (Rand Paul, 2010)
