On the upside, franchising affords you a significant "liability tradeoff." In other words, when making a decision about franchising versus company-operations, you need to consider the litigation exposure you are avoiding as a part of this same equation.
Yes, as a franchisor, you gain some potential contractual liability with each franchise agreement you sign. Every time you sign any contract, of course, you're obligated to live up to the letter of that document. And while these documents are one-sided, there is no denying the potential liability.

I just donated some more to the Grimes campaign, aren't they getting ready to have a debate? I see where McConnell wants to set up the rules and Grimes has said that he isn't gonna be able to dictate how the forum will be...He doesn't want a life audience and no questions asked...He wants to have a debate where he and her asks the questions. She wants an audience and for them and the moderator to do the asking...Old Mitch is scared to death...But in his case how could you tell the difference?

Book: Jon Huntsman Sr. Told Reid That Romney Didn't Pay Any Taxes For 10 Years

The word is finally out.

The source of Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid's (D-NV) infamous claim during the 2012 presidential campaign that Mitt Romney had not paid any taxes in 10 years was Jon Huntsman Sr., the father of fellow GOP rival Jon Huntsman, according to a new book by Mark Halperin and John Heilemann called “Double Down."

Reid bashed Romney with the claim, which he said came from a Republican and a Bain Capital investor, during the summer of 2012 as the former Mass. governor repeatedly refused to disclose the tax documents.

It was an NLRB ruling, nitwit.

The National Labor Relations Board telling McDonalds that they can't blame the mess on their franchisees.

About time Corporate America was held accountable for making so many Americans miserable while the executives make hundreds of millions off their labor.

These people, as usual, have no idea the ramifications of their actions. They think businesses will just roll over and take this. Mass unemployment and automation will be the result of this. Do they really not under stand that one person making $15 an hour will replace two people making $7.50. The one may make more money but will work twice as hard. Plus they will only work 20-30 hours a week. So they gain nothing.

It's either they pay more, or taxpayers keep subsiding McDonalds by providing foodstamps, Medicaid, etc.

Which do you prefer?? The employer paying a livable wage or you subsidizing big Corporations pay policies..........
