lol! An interesting tidbit on Hamilton, the Constitution and the system of government he proposed....

http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/amex/duel/sfeature/ha...

"...At the Constitutional Convention, Hamilton played little part in the writing of the Constitution itself, although he served on the committees that outlined convention rules and writing style. His proposal for the new government was modeled on the British system, which Hamilton considered the "best in the world."

Under Hamilton's system, senators and a national "governor" would be chosen by special electors, and would serve for life. Members of an assembly would be elected directly by citizens; each member would serve a three-year term. State governors would be chosen by the national governor.

Although his fellow delegates politely listened to Hamilton's proposal, it received endorsement from no one. But if the delegates rejected the extreme degree to which Hamilton's plan concentrated power at the federal level, they understood that giving more power to the central government was necessary for the nation's survival.

The solution adopted by the delegates was a constitution that balanced the powers of three branches -- executive, legislative, and judicial. And by clearly defining the relationships among the states, it allayed the fears of those who worried that certain states might become too powerful...."

Amazing.

It would appear Hamilton was more a power enable and centralizer than Obama ever was.

Sounds more like... bushie boy!

It seems the Republican party is in total disarray, with their leader [drunken Bonehead] making a even bigger ass of himself. With members in their party like Ted Cruz, who has personally cost us a few billion dollars by shutting the Government down, yet they maintain that they want to cut cost????Talk about dysfunctional and useless. But what could one reasonable expect from the number of crazed candidates they have elected in recent years. Talk about the gang that couldn't shoot straight. The most do nothing Congress in our history with the lowest approval level ever. Still the idiots on here support and defend them, talk about delusional fanatics.

So why were they idiots? Because they stood on their convictions and took out Saddam because they and the UN believed he was an imminent threat post 9/11? Because of the housing market collapse? Because you willingly believe propagandists and power hungry politicians who seek power at any cost and by any means necessary?
You might take a closer look at the "idiots" on your side of the fence who stood by them on the war and rejected the warnings about the impending economic crisis.
Before you go and call other people idiots.
For one thing Carol, Saddam Hussein was in the Bush administration's crosshairs before 9/11. We know this from the interviews Ron Susskind had with former Treasury Secretary Paul O'Neill. O'Neill who was previously CEO and Chairman of Alcoa reveals that that the war in Iraq was planned from the first National Security Council meeting, soon after the administration took office. At the first cabinet meeting of the new Bush administration, O'Neill observed that the debate was not "should we attack Iraq?" but rather "how do we go about attacking Iraq?" O'Neill viewed this as a violation of earlier guarantees that (then-presidential candidate) Bush would refrain from nation building endeavors during his time in office. It would seem that Al Qaeda the group that ultimately attacked us wasn't considered important enough. So stop stupidly conflating 9/11 with the invasion of Iraq; one had nothing to do with the other.
Congress, the UN and the American people were sold a bill of goods based on false, incomplete and cherry picked intelligence and the Bush administration knew this. The now infamous Downing Street memo shows that intelligence was be bent around policy rather than the other way around as it should be.
As for the housing collapse, stop ignoring the fact that the Republicans were in control of both houses of Congress and the White House when the bubble expanded beyond all stability and started to collapse. it was also the GOP that took a hands off approach to the mortgage backed securities and credit default swap markets that ultimately crashed the financial sector.
Foxbots like you are the last ones to accuse anyone of believing propagandists. Fox has been the propaganda arm of the Republican Party for years.
Based on this and numerous other of your posts I can confidently call you an idiot.

Has it ever even occurred to you that House and Senate Republicans might be right about Obamacare's higher deductibles and premiums?
We're all going to know sooner or later - likely right before this year's elections. A lot of people already know.
So what are you going to do if you were hoodwinked?
Sure dumbass, premiums never went up before the ACA was implemented did they? When George W Bush took office in 2001 the average combined premiums for employers and employees was $7061; when he left in 2009 it was $13,375 or almost double. Deductibles may be higher but what you forget is that you're getting more for your money. New plans must offer some free preventive services, like mammograms and yearly physicals. The other is that having a plan protects you from medical bankruptcy if you get in an accident or face something like a cancer diagnosis. The Affordable Care Act requires that health plans have a yearly limit on out-of-pocket expenses.

Remember when that black woman accused those three white fraternity guys of rape? And it turned out she was lying. Was that a legitimate case of rape?
You dwell too much on irrelevant things.
One thing has nothing to do with the other nitwit. Todd Akin made the totally specious claim that a woman couldn't get pregnant from rape. What does that have to do with a false rape charge?

If ignorance really was bliss you would be the happiest liar in the world.

24 billion.

That’s according to an estimate from Standard & Poor’s. The financial services company said the shutdown, which ended with a deal late Wednesday night after 16 days, took $24 billion out of the U.S. economy, and reduced projected fourth-quarter GDP growth from 3 percent to 2.4 percent.

Here’s a breakdown of some of the economic cost by our calculations:

About $3.1 billion in lost government services, according to the research firm IHS
$152 million per day in lost travel spending, according to the U.S. Travel Association
$76 million per day lost because of National Parks being shut down, according to the National Park Service
$217 million per day in lost federal and contractor wages in the Washington D.C. metropolitan area alone

Hundreds of thousands of federal workers bore the economic brunt of the shutdown. But small businesses also suffered from frozen government contracts and stalled business loans. Tourism suffered from closed national parks, and military families had to cope without childcare and other services. Federal workers will receive back-pay under the deal, but contractors will probably not get their lost wages. The stall in cash-flow could affect spending during the holiday shopping season.

Here's the question again.
Remember when that black woman accused those three white fraternity guys of rape? And it turned out she was lying. What if she were pregnant when she accused them falsely? Was that a legitimate case of rape?
Here's the answer again dumbass; one thing has nothing to do with the other. Todd Atkins ignorant assertion that a woman cannot get pregnant from a rape has nothing to do with a case of false rape accusation.
You're an idiot Carol!
