Listening to those voices in your head again I see. I have never been a conservative. I have always voted for the person regardless of party affiliation. Well, until recently that is. Now, I work hard to see that Republicans are defeated and will continue to do so as long as the GOP continues on their obstructionist path. It's bad for America.

From a facebook post:

The child ask, "Why do we have wars?"

Answer: Because we are ruled by an elite group of psychopaths who own the banks that control the governments and media. They fund both sides of war for profit and they manufacture the consent of the public through the propaganda of the media.

A report published last week in the esteemed New England Journal of Medicine provided an overview of Obamacare's first year, its successes and the challenges ahead. It also offered a yet another estimate of the number of people covered by the law: 20 million.

The NEJM report pulled a wealth of information, much of it already known by those closely following the law's implementation but presented together by the journal, from think tanks and government agencies. It covered a range of topics, including the number of people covered, 2015 premiums, and the adequacy of provider networks for plans offered through the law.

But its bottom line was that millions of people have become insured under Obamacare.

Obama failures--
"Pen and phone" approach to governing disregards Constitutional checks & balances.

Presidents have actions they can take within their Constitutional powers.

Liar. Cuts were designated per budget items. For example, the President could not decide not to make military cuts.

The Republicans force the cuts and you, being a whiner, blame the President when cuts are made.

The reasons for wars have never changed. One of them is morons (like you) enable maniacs (like Muslims) to aggress against weakness (like Obama).

Thanks. I had not seen the report but pulled it up after reading your post.

Just a few interesting points from the report:

- 7.8 million adults between the ages of 19 and 25 years were enrolled in a parent's plan and that most of these enrollees would not have been eligible to do so before the passage of the law.

- 6 million people have enrolled in Medicaid or the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP).

- Early polling data from Gallup, RAND, and the Urban Institute indicate that the number of uninsured people may have already declined by 5 million to 9 million and that the proportion of U.S. adults lacking insurance has fallen from 18% in the third quarter of 2013 to 13.4% in May 2014.

- Taking all existing coverage expansions together, we estimate that 20 million Americans have gained coverage as of May 1 under the ACA.(Young adults 18-26 1 million; Consumers who selected a market place plan 8 million; Consumers who purchased directly from Insurer 5 million; Consumers who enrolled in Medicaid or Chip 6 million).

And then there is this...

- " President Barack Obama promised that anyone who liked their insurance would be able to keep it under the new law. In hindsight, his assurances should have been more nuanced....Nevertheless, some of the cancellations would have occurred in the absence of the ACA. Health-policy expert Benjamin Sommers and colleagues point out that there was significant turnover in the individual market before the ACA went into effect: between 2008 and 2011, only 42% of people who started out with such coverage still had it after 1 year." (Something we kept telling Rethugs but they wouldn't listen).

- If history is a guide, most states will ultimately expand their Medicaid programs. The fiscal benefits to states are enormous, and hospitals and other providers generally favor participation. Medicaid was launched in 1966, but it took until 1972 for participation to become widespread. Arizona held out until 1982.(I'm betting the holdout will be Texas)

Millions of people have lost their health insurance because of ObamaKare. Tens of millions can't keep their health insurance policy. Tens of millions of people have to pay more for their health insurance. Tens of millions can't keep their doctor. ObamaKare adds thousands of taxes, rules, regulations, and requirements on every one. ObamaKare was basically a scheme to control the lives of the average United States citizen.

Thank heaven! A glimmer of common sense!

CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y.(AP) A New York court has ruled that a Long Island father used reasonable force when he spanked his 8-year-old son for cursing at an adult.

A little glimmer here...a little glimmer there. A little glimmer here and there...a little glimmer everywhere.

And common sense will once again be restored!
