We both found ourselves on an Orlando topix forum soon after Obama took office. It had the word "tea party" in the thread.

For some reason, that topix thread went down and then I found this one. Lo and behold, Realtime had found this one too. Think we were both a bit shocked at first.

Don't remember what name he posted under back then. Might have been the same one. Can't remember.

Found that thread, Galt. The one both Realtime and I used to be on. Another thread on the Orlando forum.

http://www.topix.com/forum/city/orlando-fl/TT...

Seems I was the last poster. And from the compliment given to both Realtime and I right before my last post (and before the thread disappeared), guess I also used to be a lot nicer back then.

That was when I thought most people still had some common sense though and Obama's legacy would be short-lived.

Sobbing and shaking, Ismail Abu Musallam leaned against the wall of a hospital Friday, waiting for three of his children to be prepared for burial. They were killed as they slept when an Israeli tank shell hit their home, burying 11-year-old Ahmed, 14-year-old Walaa and 16-year-old Mohammed under debris in their beds.
His personal tragedy is not unique: the U.N. says minors make up one-fifth of the 299 Palestinians killed in 11 days of intense Israeli bombardment of the densely populated Gaza Strip, where half the 1.7 million people are under age 18.
The Israeli military says it's doing its utmost to spare civilians by urging residents to leave areas that are about to be shelled or bombed as Hamas targets. It accuses the Islamic militants of using civilians as human shields by firing rockets from civilian areas.
But even if urged to evacuate, most Gazans have no safe place to go, rights activists say.
"If you are going to attack civilian structures in densely populated areas, of course you are going to see children killed," said Bill Van Esveld, a researcher for New York-based Human Rights Watch.

It's a very sad and complicated situation. The UN divided up the land between the Jews and Palestinians five or six decades ago. The British mandate came to an end soon after and pulling out their armed forces didn't help and may have made things worse.
The conflict goes way back and may just be coming back around full circle.
Very sad situation. Too many children and innocents killed on both sides.

But the impossible just got a little more possible: Marvel released an announcement late Wednesday night that someone new would be taking over as that most patriotic of heroes, Captain America. The iconic shield is being passed from Steve Rogers, the white man who has played the part almost constantly since World War II, on to a black man: Sam Wilson, better known as the Falcon in Marvel’s pages.

Idi Amin was black too. Could he have been your president too?

Just wondering where the content of one's character trumps skin color in your mind.

Obama's a nice enough guy if you didn't know his radical liberal side and he didn't have a leadership role. That's the problem.

Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) may market herself as a progressive populist, but when forced to choose between everyday Americans and billion dollar international corporations, Warren sides with the corporations.

“Senator Warren believes that the Export-Import Bank helps create American jobs and spur economic growth," Warren spokeswoman Lacey Rose wrote in an e-mail to Bloomberg News, "She looks forward to reviewing re-authorization legislation if and when it is introduced."

In fact, the Export-Import Bank does not create any net jobs. Whatever jobs it does create for the corporations it subsidizes are lost by non-subsidized businesses.

In reality, all the Export-Import Bank really is, to quote then-candidate Barack Obama, is "little more than a fund for corporate welfare."

Exactly. Few hate Santa Claus.

Respect has to be earned in most civilizations -- even the most primitive. That's not the case among leftists. Their respect is invented.

Some things that involve human beings caught in the middle of life or death conflicts apparently separates you and me.

I am against Hamas. I am against Iran funding them. I support Israel's right to exist and to defend itself.

But I also know many Palestinians are innocent and can't do anything about their heritage or circumstances any more than you or I had a choice in being born an American.

Neither one of us knows enough about why these hostilities have existed over the centuries or why the UN got involved.

But while you see this in very black and white terms, I know innocents on both sides are being killed. If that makes me a liberal in your mind, then, on this, call me a liberal.

The most striking thing I learned watching foreign movies and, in particular, those set in Israel and Palestine, is how similar we all are as human beings. Just steeped in our own cultures and beliefs.

"Insanity: Repeating the same thing over and over again and expecting different results."
Your statement has rated as "pants on fire" by Politifact.
Nine of those thrirteen cases were against Bush policies, not Obama's. "Only one of the 13 cases actually had to do directly with Obama’s overreach: National Labor Relations Board vs. Noel Canning. In that case, decided in June, the Supreme Court said unanimously that Obama went too far when he appointed members to the National Labor Relations Board when the Senate wasn’t technically in session."
"In one of the cases, McCullen vs. Coakley, the Obama administration was not even a plaintiff or a defendant in the case. The case was a challenge to a Massachusetts law that put no-protest zones around abortion clinics. While the Obama administration filed a brief supporting the Massachusetts law, no executive order was filed or challenged."
Get a clue!!! Repeating the same lie over and over again isn't going to change the FACT that it is a LIE.
http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/state...
Crissakes, lady, you couldn't find the front door if somebody wrote "Free Abortions" on it.

Here's my statement: "Supreme Court Rules Unanimously Against Obama for 12th and 13th Time Since 2012": http://tinyurl.com/paaw7ka

Here's your propaganda link statement: "GOP spokesman says Supreme Court unanimously ruled against Barack Obama's executive orders 13 times"

Mine said nothing about "Executive Orders" but Politifact hammers on it continuously throughout the link.

Hmmmm....I smell a fish. They keep hammering on the "Executive Orders" BS so that bimbos like you will think they're talking about the SCOTUS Rulings against the Magic Negro exclusively.

It's called "slight of hand", something used by Magicians like the Magic Negro.

Secondly, Politifact claims most of these rulings that went against Magic Negro were actually against Bush. Hmmmm...Bush-Bashing, eh? Politifact has lost its credibility in doing this. Not only that, but they offer no examples of those "Bush" case that Magic Negro lost.
It gets really silly here but I'm sure you see none of it. Of Course!

Lastly, any site that constantly brags about how they won the Pulitzer is unknowingly exposing its fake credibility. Do you have any idea what Joseph Pulitzer did and what a charlatan he was(along with his competition William Hearst)? These two began Yellow Journalism that has now been refined into a science with Charlie Rose, CNN, MSNBC, The New York Times and the hallowed halls of Holly weird.

And then they hand out *AWARDS* in the name of Yellow Journalism?

Of course they do - for suckers like you.

BTW, I won a Pulitizer, too!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.. ..
