The Value of Restraint
One of the points that I tried to make at yesterday’s New Internationalism conference was that the U.S. could easily contribute to international stability just by refusing to wage wars for regime change. What I should have added is that the U.S. promote stability overseas by also refraining from taking it upon itself to try to “shape” political outcomes in other countries by other means as well. This goes beyond avoiding costly and unnecessary wars to recognizing that the U.S. has neither the authority nor the understanding to direct or constructively influence the affairs of other nations. There are more or less harmful kinds of interference, but the faulty hegemonist assumption from which so many other errors flow is the belief that the U.S. is supposed to take an active role in “shaping” how other nations are governed and should seek to change those governments by various means. There are always excuses available for those that would like to discard the principle of non-interference, but they can’t get away from the problem that interference of any kind in the internal affairs of other nations frequently backfires on the U.S. and ends up harming the people it is supposed to help.

Clinton not only bombed but sanctioned the lifeblood out of Iraq leading to thousands of children's deaths through starvation.
Might have ticked off the enemy just a bit.
Secretary of State, Madeline Albright, apparently had no regrets about it either when specifically questioned about the rationale for it and its consequences in an interview.
Don't forget..."who" is on first.

Sanctions placed by the UN in 1990.

Food for oil program offered but at first refused by Iraq.

Iraq had the means to feed their people but chose not to.

The blame lies with Iraq.

Iraq did not start the war with the US so if they were ticked or not was not relevant.

NBC/WSJ poll:
54%- Obama is no longer able to lead the country.
57%- disapprove of his handling of foreign policy (even without Iraq).
63%- believe the country is on the wrong track.
Some of the 63% probably think we're on the wrong track because the train hasn't derailed yet - the only thing that would make them happy - pretty sure.

29% of those polled had a favorable opinion of the Republican Party
22% had a favorable opinion of the Tea Party. Yet,
44% had a positive opinion of Hillary Clinton (only 37% said they would not vote for her)
45% favor a Congress controlled by Democrats compared
43% who would like to see Republicans in charge.

To the question, "how competent would you say the Obama administration is in its role of managing the federal government?

50% said very or somewhat confident.

And, to the question: "When it comes to the problems in the US Department of Veterans Affairs which comes closer to your point of view (ROTATE STATEMENTS)-- These problems are due to longstanding government bureaucracy, these problems are due to poor management by the Obama administration -- or do you not have an opinion one way or the other?

61% said it was due to longstanding government bureaucracy and only
14% said it was due to poor management by the Obama administration despite all the trash talk by reich wingers

That, my dear, IMO, still makes you a loser in 2016 and that is all that matters. (6-18%20Release).pdf

<quoted text>From your source son...
"...Hitler realized one thing the movement lacked was a recognizable symbol or flag. In the summer of 1920, Hitler chose the symbol which to this day remains perhaps the most infamous in history, the swastika.
It was not something Hitler invented, but is found even in the ruins of ancient times. Hitler had seen it each day as a boy when he attended the Benedictine monastery school in Lambach, Austria. The ancient monastery was decorated with carved stones and woodwork that included several swastikas. They had also been seen around Germany among the Freikorps (soldiers for hire), and appeared before as an emblem used by anti-Semitic political parties.
But when it was placed inside a white circle on a red background, it provided a powerful, instantly recognizable symbol that immediately helped Hitler's party gain popularity.
Hitler described the symbolism involved: "In the red we see the social idea of the movement, in the white the national idea, in the swastika the mission to struggle for the victory of Aryan man and at the same time the victory of the idea of creative work, which is eternally anti-Semitic and will always be anti-Semitic."..."
the swastika symbol is also used by the racist Navajo Redskins......

A fine is money paid usually to superior authority, usually governmental authority, as a punishment for a crime or other offence. The amount of a fine can be determined case by case, but it is often announced in advance.[1]
The fine bill for violation of traffic law in Czech Republic
A warning sign in Singapore that states the fine for releasing vehicles that are immobilized with wheel clamps by Singapore Police Force officers.
"The most usual use of the term, fine, relates to a financial punishment for the commission of crimes, especially minor crimes, or as the settlement of a claim. A synonym, typically used in civil law actions, is mulct.
One common example of a fine is money paid for violations of traffic laws. Currently in English Common Law, relatively small fines are used either in place of or alongside community service orders for low-level criminal offences. Larger fines are also given independently or alongside shorter prison sentences where the judge or magistrate considers a considerable amount of retribution is necessary, but there is unlikely to be significant danger to the public. For instance, fraud is often punished by very large fines since fraudsters are typically banned from the position or profession they abused to commit their crimes.
Fines can also be used as a form of tax. Money for bail may be applied toward a fine."
The SC said the fine/penalty was a form of tax. As you see above, fines can be used as a tax.
The Supreme court said the Penalty was unconstitutional under the Commerce Clause but was under the ability of Congress to tax so it could stay.
You GD idiots get dumber every freaking day.
SCOTUS ruled that the individual mandate was constitutional ONLY as a tax, not as a fine or penalty....

in effect, SCOTUS ruled that insurance cannot be required, but that those who do not have insurance can be taxed....
