Just a few more "truths" before I go...
Truth #1:
A quote from Bob Woodward's book: "With the president taking charge, though, Obama found that he had little history with members of Congress to draw on. His administration's early decision to forego bipartisanship for the sake of speed around the stimulus bill was encapsulated by his then-chief of staff, Rahm Emanuel:'We have the votes. F---'em,' he's quoted in the book as saying."
Yeah, so? It was obvious from the get go that the Republicans were only interested in obstruction evidenced by Mitch McConnell's statement that the sole aim of his party was to make Obama a one term president. The economy needed help and the Democrats weren't going to waste time pussy footing around with a party that only had their interests at heart and not the American people.

....Sussman, 62, who responded to NBC News’ call-out asking veterans to share their VA health-care experiences, said she received care at the Albuquerque VA hospital after a radiologist there spotted a small spot during a mammogram and a biopsy revealed she had breast cancer. After her initial diagnosis, which prompted her to write a letter of gratitude to Marnell, things quickly went downhill, she said.

First, she was referred to the general surgeon at the hospital, who recommended a mastectomy. Then, after she found a breast cancer specialist in private practice who recommended a much less drastic treatment, the VA was unable to help her locate her biopsy, which had been sent to another government facility for further study, forcing her to try to track it down herself.....

Boehner told Woodward:'They never had their act together. The president, I think, was ill-served by his team. Nobody in charge, no process. I just don't know how the place works. To this day, I can't tell you how the place works. There's no process for making a decision in this White House. There's nobody in charge."
What truth dimwit? It's a quote from John Boehner whose House has been the most time wasting and least productive legislative body in recent history.

An overly rigid, economy debilitating EPA, amongst a herdpack of billions wasting, "green" licking tree hugging type lemmings, is not McConnell's fault--not even amongst the Not so jackboot licking, partisan party line tow-ers of.

Must have hit a very sensitive nerve today - after scanning three or four of the following pages of Paddy's rants.
But no one has yet to respond about the VA being our future under Obamacare.
Well yes they have Carol, but allow me to reiterate. The VA system is nothing like Obamacare stupid. Under the VA system the government owns the hospitals and other facilities and the doctors, nurses and other workers are government employees. Under Obamacare most individuals still get their coverage from private sector insurance companies and use private sector health facilities and private practice physicians and other healthcare professionals. Even under a single payer plan like Medicare we would still be using the private sector to provide healthcare.

The idea was to make health insurance more competitive across state lines and to keep it in the private sector - keeping the government out of it as much as possible.
The Democrats didn't like that idea. They liked the VA and more bureaucracy approach much better.
Still pushing that bull crap Carol? Sales across state lines would actually have the opposite effect, encouraging insurance companies to establish their headquarters in states with the loosest regulations allowing them to gouge subscribers even more than they did before the passage of the ACA.

You are wrong.

Solyndra was working on getting financing when Bush was President and , in fact, Bush pushed for a decision on Solyndra when he was still in office.

Their application was not approved because of a couple issues, those issues were fixed & then the loan was approved after Obama became President..

I guess that if a guy from a University you claim is crap can make a fool of you here daily, it just doesn't say much about you.

Flack: OMG OMG Solydra was rosky OMG OMG OMG Scandal Scandl OMG OMG OMG"

1) The program was to promote green energy by the government backing up loans to companies that had trouble attracting investors because they were risky.

2) The upside was that Solyndra's design had the potential to increase solar panel efficiency beyond where the typical silicon panels could achieve.

3) As silicon pricing soured, Solyndra's panels ( not silicon based) became more cost competitive.

4) Later, as silicon prices fell. China dropped panel pricing. Both of these hurt Solyndra & led to their bankruptcy.

There is no scandal. It was known that many of the ventures under this program would fail. They built in a fund to cover these losses.

People, like Flack, who run around having a fit about Solyndra are just too stupid to understand the purpose of the program & the reasons why Solyndra was selected and why it failed.
