NY Times just fired first woman editor amidst her asking for pay equal to male predecessor.

This is after the NY Slimes has been running propaganda pieces for Democrats about equal pay / war on women.

Nothing surprising here.

The point is that the VA system was overwhelmed by the influx from the Afghanistan & Iraq wars.
This should have been foreseen by those running these wars & the VA expanded to accommodate the returning vets.
We always have an increase of vets after any war They did not decide to deal with this influx the way the current VA has.

This group of Vets didn't suddenly happen but has occurred over 10 years, so I am not buying this was sudden and unforeseen.

The VA has some answering to do and the excuse making does not change any of it.

But Dave we were all told that it was gonna be a cake walk, they will be giving us chockolate and flowers. Hell Bush even landed on a Air Craft Carrier signaling the war was over and we won, of course that was about ten years early. Hard to believe that you idiots still view that as some kind of hero feat??? Talk about political hacks. All of the lives sacrificed for nothing...Yet you call yourselves real patriotic Americans. You should be ashamed.

It's despicable to talk about Hillary in that manner, no surprise you would jump on that bandwagon.

No matter, the 2016 race is over, the GOP should focus on 2020 or better yet 2024 after Hillary's second term.

Gingrich: The VA's real problem
By Newt Gingrich and Ali Meshkin
updated 10:32 PM EDT, Wed May 14, 2014

The VA workforce is larger than the Marine Corps. More than 314,000 work full time for the VA compared to 202,000 in the Marine Corps (potentially shrinking to 150,000--at which point there would be half as many Marines as VA bureaucrats).
The VA treats some six million veterans a year at more than 1,400 different sites including hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, etc. In 2013 there were nearly nine million veterans enrolled -- or better than one out of every three veterans in the United States.
Just the size of the VA training system is enormous. According to the VA, it helps train 90,000 health professionals every year in its medical centers. Over 50 percent of all American physicians have had some training in the VA system.
The scale of VA bureaucracy has grown dramatically. Between 2006 and 2013, the number of full-time employees jumped more than 40 percent, from 220,000 to 314,000. Yet with 94,000 additional government employees, the system has not been able to match the private sector's standard of care.
Consider the issue of waiting times for treatments. The national average waiting time in an emergency room is 26 minutes. At VA facilities, veterans wait twice that time on average and that understates the problem in especially mismanaged sites.

How many times do you get called stupid daily? All your egomaniacal attempts to act superior to other posters seem to back fire. Maybe, you are a slow learner.

But, but, Bush idiocy again.

The Congress is in charge of the budget. The Dems in the Senate --who has been in control for almost 8 years---are the ones who failed to provide monies.

Lie of the century:

9/28/02 Bush's address to nation: "The Iraqi regime possesses biological and chemical weapons, is rebuilding the facilities to make more, and, according to the British government, could launch a biological or chemical attack in as little as 45 minutes after the order is given."

Second place:

In a speech on August 26, 2002, Vice President Dick Cheney flatly asserted that "there is no doubt that Saddam Hussein now has weapons of mass destruction."

Karl Rove continued on Wednesday to defend the remarks he made about Hillary Clinton's medical issues even as he played down her "traumatic brain episode" as a "minor" issue for a potential 2016 campaign.

The Republican strategist caused a stir when the New York Post reported over the weekend that Rove suggested the former secretary of state suffered a "traumatic brain injury." That reported comment was widely mocked and dismissed by Democrats, including White House spokesman Jay Carney, former President Bill Clinton and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA).

"Now, is this going to be the issue of the 2016 presidential campaign if she runs?" Rove told Fox News' Sean Hannity. "No, it's going to be a minor thing."

Still, Rove said that Clinton will need to be more forthcoming about her health records if she launches a presidential bid. He cited former Vice President Dick Cheney, whose doctors gave a press conference after he had a defibrillator put into his heart in 2001, as an example. He also said the New York Times had ripped Bill Clinton in a 1996 editorial for being the "least cooperative" presidential candidate in releasing his health records.

A Clinton spokesman had responded to Rove's reported "brain injury" comment by assuring that the former secretary of state was at "100 percent."

"Karl Rove has deceived the country for years, but there are no words for this level of lying," the spokesman told the New York Post.

Hannity did point out to Rove that Clinton spent just 4 days in the hospital in 2012 for treatment of a blood clot, not 30 days as Rove said in his reported remarks.

Maybe you should also focus on the Gulf of Tonkin and how LBJ & Democrats lied to get us into a war where 50,000+ American kids died for a war we lost where a Republican ended it and brought our kids home, hypocrite lowlife.
Maybe you should focus on how yet another agency under the corrupt Obama Regime is abusing power, lying and screwing the vets right "NOW" as we speak instead of deflecting like you lapdog Obama commies always do.
