Democrats have a 43-42 percent advantage on the generic ballot test if the election were held today - would you vote for a Republican or a Democrat to represent you in Congress – but that number is hardly predictive.

In 1994, the year the GOP won control of Congress for the first time in 40 years with a record swing in seats, the Democrats still led the generic ballot test by several points the night before the election.

At lot can happen in seven months.

So true. A lot can happen on every front in just seven months these days.

LOS ANGELES — How bad and widespread are California cities' fiscal problems?
"Virtually ubiquitous and massive,'' says Rod Kiewiet, professor of political science at California Institute of Technology.
Apart from Silicon Valley and wealthy coastal areas, inland California still suffers depressed housing, foreclosures and double-digit unemployment — 14.1% in Stockton, 17.2% in Merced and a staggering 23.7% in El Centro. The Los Angeles metro area has unemployment of 9.9%; statewide unemployment is 9.4%.

Have things turned around that much in just a year?
LOL. You must have looked really hard to find such a one-sided article.

Cities that have a high number of undocumented immigrants like Stockton, Merced and El Centro (81% of the population of El Centro is Hispanic) are always going to have a high unemployment rate. So will the Los Angeles metro area which is home to the indigent. Californian's unemployment number now stands at 8.1% compared to the national unemployment rate of 6.3 percent.(Santa Barbara's unemployment rate is 4.4%; San Francisco is 5.6%). Due to demographics, California will always have an overall high unemployment rate. We are resigned to that fact.

Depressed housing and foreclosures are pretty much a thing of the past. In fact, it is now being reported that some California counties are overvalued and unsustainable. "The Orange County metro area is about 16% overvalued, Trulia says. Nearby Los Angeles is 13% overvalued."

Thanks to Governor Brown, California now has a budget surplus in the billions and Brown has refused to let Republicans spend it.

We are one of the leaders in Job Creation "leading the nation in new high-tech, bio-tech and manufacturing jobs, a result in part that Brown attributes to the “yeasty and innovative” nature of the state. Texas can’t duplicate that, no matter how many corporate subsidies Perry passes around."

As Jerry Brown said,“What a comeback it is: a million new jobs since 2010, a budgetary surplus in the billions and a minimum wage rising to $10 an hour!”

Of course we have problems but it wasn't for Jerry Brown, we would be buried in debt just as we were under our last Republican governor.

I don't care who black people vote for, but I already know that black younger men are much more likely to vote Republican than their fathers and grandfathers, so you are losing your core membership when you add the fact that Republicans have already won white youth(the ideological engine of progressivism itself).
A white nationalist doesn't fit the simple-minded leftist definition of a racist because we actually have a very logical basis for our beliefs with little to no hate in our hearts, while scum like yourself hate white people and hide behind the banner of "progressivism".
People like myself are the end for your party and your agenda, and you know that very well.
Seek help, your delusional, irrational and twisted perception serves only to remind normal people of just how out of touch and clueless you baggers really are. Do rational people in the very same breath talk about having no hate in their heart while calling another a scumbag? Only in bagger world. Too funny.

Still maintain greed is the problem within the health care system. Despite technological advances, supply and demand alone should keep costs much lower than they are now.

Of course, common sense steps to make insurance more affordable - tort reform and competition nationwide - would have at least helped to lower costs. Physicians wouldn't be passing on to the patient their very costly malpractice insurance and competition keeps prices down.

Seems the medical profession is the only one staying under the radar when it comes to the cost of health care.

It shouldn't cost so much to receive medical care. Even in this day and age. Especially in this day and age.

Not because of negligence or incompetence. Big difference. Neither did Reagan lie about an attack killing Americans for a political advantage to win an election. Again, big difference.

Think it's the "big difference" some of you have a problem grasping.
