Together, the Kochs have approximately $68 billion dollars combined wealth whereas George Soros has $20 billion. Right away, common sense should prevail upon a conservative afraid of a Soros boogeyman that he doesn’t have the resources of the megalomaniacal brothers. Where does this misguided commenter get such nonsense? Where else but the conservative media-sphere, so well-known for its distortion, it’s become cliché. Visit Fox So-Called News or right wing blogs, and soon you hear that George Soros has spent “$550 million” since 1979 in the United States on liberal causes and fail to note that he has disclosed every dollar, because he believes in a transparent and open society. Conversely, just try and find a record of the Koch brothers’ donations to conservative causes since 1979 without a full-time investigator.
It's so nice that the Koch's fund cancer research since their various refineries cause so much of it. Here's some more goodies from Koch world;
In 2008, an internal investigation found numerous instances of bribery to foreign officials to secure contracts by Koch Industries subsidiary Koch-Glitsch. One incident which came under investigation was the payment of an unusually high premium to a sales agent who admitted in a French court that the payment had been passed on to someone representing a partially state-owned Egyptian company in order to secure a contract there.
The company attempted to blame the sales agent and terminated him with a six page letter detailing the company's illicit payments to interests in Algeria, Egypt, India, Morocco, Nigeria and Saudi Arabia and placing blame for them on the sales agent. However, the court found that "[the sales agent] was not giving authorizations" for the payments, instead indicating that Charles Ender, a major Koch executive and president of Koch-Glitsch for Europe and Asian operations at the time, was responsible.
In April 2001, the Koch Petroluem Group (now Flint Hills Resources) "pleaded guilty to a felony charge of lying to the government about its benzene emissions". A report to the Texas Natural Resource Conservation Commission disclosed only 1/149th of the actual benzene pollution. The company was fined $10 million and ordered to fund an additional $10 million in costs for environmental cleanup in South Texas.
The extremely profitable plant earned almost $200 million for the company in 1995, the year of the violation; the benzene emissions would have cost $7 million to control. After an environmental technician reported the false report that led to the fines, Koch Petroleum Group moved the whistle blower to an empty office with no tasks and no e-mail access. She quit a short time later.

Rev. Al Sharpton worked as FBI informant, taping conversations with mob pals to help bring down Genovese crime family: report
Sharpton became an informant after he was caught on tape with a drug kingpin discussing cocaine deals, and the feds threatened him with charges unless he flipped and snitched on Mafia acquaintances, according to The Smoking Gun. In an interview with the Daily News on Monday, Sharpton disputed much of the report, saying he turned to authorities after receiving threats from Gambino family member Joseph (Joe Bana) Buonanno and others.

The Rev. Al Sharpton in his office in New York on January 20, 1991. Sharpton worked as an FBI informant during the 1980s, according to a report by The Smoking Gun.
He's had the titles of civil rights activist, presidential candidate and TV host.
But for a time, the FBI secretly called the Rev. Al Sharpton something else:“CI-7”— a confidential informant who taped mobsters with a bugged briefcase, helping the feds bring down members of the Genovese crime family, it was revealed Monday.
For four years in the 1980s, Sharpton secretly assisted a joint FBI-NYPD task force known as the “Genovese squad,” The Smoking Gun website disclosed.
Sharpton’s role as an FBI informant was first disclosed in 1988 — but The Smoking Gun obtained hundreds of pages of secret court filings and FBI memos that provide stunning new details of his cooperation. The documents depict Sharpton operating easily in an underworld of violence and corruption, helping the feds collect essential information.

The Poverty Hoax
A major concern of progressives is their supposed interest in the fate of the poor. They purport to be the champions of the poor. But the truth is that they need the poor more than the poor need them, in a symbiotic relationship.
As much as 75% of the money allocated to the poor is consumed by the vast bureaucracies that administer this aid. These agencies are actually job programs for college graduates who would often find it difficult to find employment in the private sector.
Obama told us that,“We can't drive our SUVs and eat as much as we want and keep our homes on 72 degrees at all times.” Yet during a recent trip to China the first family and their staff of about 70 stayed in the presidential suite at the Westin Chaoyang Hotel, which USA Today reports costs about $8,400 a night.
Where do America's "poor" stand in this scale of poverty? In a nation of over 300 million people there are undoubtedly cases of destitution, want and hardship. However, these cases appear to be the exception.
As former Secretary of Agriculture Dan Glickman stated, "More people die in the United States of too much food than of too little." According to William Bennett, "Poor people in America have a higher standard of living than middle-class Americans of previous generations."
Perhaps the assertion of President Franklin Roosevelt says it best:“Continued dependence upon relief induces a spiritual and moral disintegration fundamentally destructive to the national fiber. To dole out relief in this way is to administer a narcotic, a subtle destroyer of the human spirit.” Certainly progressive academics are aware of the consequences of their policies. Perhaps that is their ultimate goal.
but but most of these bureaucracies are run by the democrats--it is making democrats rich under the guise of 'saving the poor' and then of course it is always about the children, children, children--flim flam scootin scam=the monkey hustle.

Nine Months After Passing Concealed Carry, What has Happened to Chicago’s Murder Rate?

April 7, 2014 By Greg Campbell

inShare
Gun Rally

Supporters of the Second Amendment all across the country ought to be celebrating as Chicago has enjoyed the lowest murder rate in over fifty years thanks to the Land of Lincoln’s begrudging acceptance of an individual’s right to self-defense.

Though Illinois has been remarkably slow to accept what gun owners around the country have long understood, Illinois became the fiftieth state to finally allow concealed carrying of a firearm.

On July 9ty, 2013, the bill allowing concealed carry was approved by both houses of Illinois’ congress after mounting pressure from gun rights groups and the Supreme Court.

The left offered their usual cries and warnings that the streets of Chicago would run red with the blood of the innocent, but in truth, it appears Chicago is enjoying the lowest murder rate since 1958 thanks to the underlying threat to criminals of an armed population.

The Washington Times reported:
The first three months of 2014 have seen the fewest number of homicides since 1958 — six fewer than this time in 2013, and 55 fewer than this time in 2012, The Chicago Sun-Times reported.

Gun-rights advocates argue that concealed carry laws can reduce crime and keep the population safer. The state began accepting applications for permits in January.

“The facts are every time guns have been allowed, concealed-carry has been allowed, the crime rate has gone down,” said Rep. Louie Gohmert, a Texas Republican, just months before Illinois passed the concealed carry law in July 2013.
Of course, while Occam’s razor would suggest that the change in gun laws would be the obvious cause of the drop in murder rate in a city long known for rampant gun violence, gun control proponents are maintaining that the opposite is true, that gun control efforts are working.

Chicago Police Superintendant Garry McCarthy claimed that the drop in murders can be attributed to gun control efforts and the collecting of 1,300 firearms within the city and increased training for police officers.

However, it seems unlikely that after a half-century of trying the same ideas over and over again only to witness the murder rate rise that now, 9 months after enacting concealed carry laws, these same failed gun control laws are finally working.

The much simpler and obvious answer: criminals are less successful against an armed population.

Illinois may have been slow to embrace reality, but after decades of kicking and screaming, Chicago is enjoying less violence thanks to good guys with guns.

George Soros isn't even his real name. But the democrats have always embraced war criminals and now of course perverts and as always liars: Democrats embrace Soros:
During an interview with “60 Minutes” reporter Steve Kroft, Soros was asked about his “happiest year”:

KROFT: My understanding is that you went out with this protector of yours who swore that you were his adopted godson.

SOROS: Yes. Yes.

KROFT: Went out, in fact, and helped in the confiscation of property from your fellow Jews, friends and neighbors.

SOROS: Yes. That’s right. Yes.

KROFT: I mean, that sounds like an experience that would send lots of people to the psychiatric couch for many, many, years. Was it difficult?

SOROS: No, not at all. Not at all, I rather enjoyed it.

KROFT: No feelings of guilt?

SOROS: No, only feelings of absolute power.

Those last eight chilling lines tell us all we need to know about Soros, and more importantly, anyone who would want to associate with this despicable scumbag, who should have been charged with committing war crimes, IMO.

YOU WON’T BELIEVE WHY A NJ SCHOOL SUSPENDED ETHAN CHAPLIN AND SENT HIM FOR A PSYCH EVALUATION

6635
Ethan Chaplin is a thirteen-year-old student in Vernon, New Jersey, who has suspended for two days and will undergo a psychological evaluation after another student complained that he “twirled a pencil like a gun”.

Is this the kind of ‘political correctness’ we should be teaching children? Should school kids worry all the time that someone imagining they see a “gun motion” will arbitrarily damage their future?

According to News 12 New Jersey, Chaplin said he was “just twisting around a pencil with a pen cap on it when a student behind him yelled,‘He’s making gun motions, send him to juvie.’”
Share this if you’re tired of officials caving in to left-wing idealist propaganda!

Chaplin told officials he had repeatedly been bullied by the student who complained and that the complaint about the pencil was just an extension of that. But the school suspended him anyway,“pending the outcome of a psychological evaluation.”

Vernon Schools Superintendent Charles Maranzano indicated that “school policy and the law requires [sic] him to investigate when anyone in school feels uncomfortable or threatened by another student.” He said,“We never know what’s percolating in the minds of children. And when they demonstrate behaviors that raise red flags, we must do our duty.”

Unlike Harry Reid who refused to bring up any bill passed by the House in the Senate for a vote. Wonder what old Harry was scared of. But talk about an obstructionist!
Is there any accountability in American politics for being completely wrong? Is there any cost to those who say things that turn out not to be true and then, when their fabrications or false predictions are exposed, calmly move on to concocting new claims as if they had never made the old ones?

The fact that the Affordable Care Act (ACA) hit its original goal this week of signing up more than 7 million people through its insurance exchanges ought to be a moment of truth — literally as well as figuratively. It ought to give everyone, particularly members of the news media, pause over how reckless the opponents of change have been in making instant judgments and outlandish charges.

When the health-care Web site went haywire last fall, conservatives were absolutely certain this technological failure meant that the entire reform effort was doomed. If you doubt this, try a Google search keyed to that period relating the word “doomed” to the health-care law.
It should be said that the general public was much wiser. A CNN poll in November that Post blogger Greg Sargent highlighted at the time found a majority (54 percent to 45 percent) saying that the problems facing the law “will eventually be solved.” Political moderates took this view by 55 percent to 43 percent, independents by 50 percent to 48 percent. Only Republicans — by a whopping 72 percent to 27 percent — and conservatives (by 66 percent to 33 percent) thought the law could never be fixed.

Their representatives in Washington, moderate conservatives as well as the tea party’s loyalists, followed the base’s lead. In mid-November, for example, Sen. Rob Portman (R-Ohio) told Fox News flatly that the law is “destined to fail,”“fundamentally flawed” and “not ready for prime time.” House Speaker John Boehner predicted dire outcomes before the Web site fiasco. He repeatedly insisted, as he did in July, that “even the Obama administration knows the ‘train wreck’ will only get worse.”
