Your post was the cumulative encapsulation of the FOX-BLOOMBERG-BECK news effort to rehabilitate BUSH's post BAILOUT persona. Your post is specious, at best.
What you forgot to mention (because you adhere strictly to the information that you are fed by the FOX Knowledge Network[FKN]) is that TEAM BUSH was part and parcel in the real estate bubble which included Fannie & Freddie:
-June 17, 2002: President G.W. Bush sets goal of increasing minority home owners by at least 5.5 million by 2010 through billions of dollars in tax credits, subsidies and a Fannie Mae commitment of $440 billion to establish NeighborWorks America with faith based organizations.[34]
-2003: Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac buy $81 BILLION in subprime securities.
-June 2003: Federal Reserve Chair Alan Greenspan lowers Federal Reserve's key interest rate to 1%, the lowest in 45 years.[35]
-December 2003: President Bush signs the American Dream Downpayment Act to be implemented under the Department of Housing and Urban Development. The goal was to provide a maximum downpayment assistance grant of either $10,000 or six percent of the purchase price of the home, whichever was greater. In addition, the Bush Administration committed to reforming the homebuying process that would lower closing costs by approximately $700 per loan. It was said it would further stimulate homeownership for all Americans.
Did YOU know about any of this beforehand or did you wholly rely on unchecked news sources to support your post? If TEAM BUSH were really trying to reign in Fannie and Freddie, you wouldn't know it when YOU EXAMINE ALL OF THE FACTS.
If this isn't enough for you, then you should know that there is expanded information on Topix of this same discussion in 2011 with LINKS to BUSH White House Archives:

Will they? I don't think the voters are capable of doing very much of anything anymore. If BUSH can get reelected and, even worse, if OBAMA can get reelected, what does this say about a nation that is all about RINOs & DINOs & TINOs?

Everyone has an inkling about how badly this story will end but they avoid talking about it. As a nation, we have done ourselves in. Pure and simple.

How states rights were eroded and the feds became the overreaching, bloated, obscene , totalitarian monster it is now:

A number of Republican politicians and conservative commentators are calling for repeal of the 17th Amendment. Ratified in 1913, it gave voters the power to elect U.S. senators directly.

Before that, senators were generally selected by state legislatures. Returning that authority to the states would give them much more sway in Washington, restoring their role as a check on federal expansion, repeal supporters say.

"There's no doubt that was a major step toward the explosion of federal power and the undermining of the authority of the states," Texas GOP Sen. Ted Cruz said at a summit of the American Legislative Exchange Council, a conservative group of state legislators and businesses, back in December.

But taking away the influence state governments had in Washington — the states themselves — dealt a "critical blow" to the federalist system, popular conservative talk radio host Mark Levin argues in his book The Liberty Amendments: Restoring the American Republic.

"Providing the state governments with direct input in the national government was not only an essential check on the federal government's power, but also a means by which the states could influence congressional lawmaking," Levin writes.

Our constitution is the greatest document ever written, however "progressives" , read communists, needed to change it to effect control over the nation from Washington DC, IMO a very bad idea that has led us to where we are now.

The House of Representatives was set up to be the people's representatives, the Senate to be the States representatives, that's why representatives are elected every 2 years and are nominally in charge of the money, if the folks back home were unhappy with their representatives they could elect someone else in short order. A repeal of the 17th amendment would put us back to where the original founders had intended and likely rein in the undeserved power of the feds.
I'll wager very few libs know any of this and vote repeatedly against their own best interests..

Except "land for peace" was just a red herring.
The Palestinians violated and reneged on all agreements made during The Oslo Peace Treaty after it was understood to be settled.

And Israeli Prime Minister and Defense Minister Yitzhak Rabin was assassinated for working with The Palestinians in the Oslo Peace process.

Short Over-View:
The assassination of Israeli Prime Minister and Defense Minister Yitzhak Rabin was the culmination of Israeli dissent over the Oslo peace process. Rabin, despite his extensive service in the Israeli military, was disparaged personally by leaders who perceived the Oslo peace process as an attempt to forfeit the occupied territories.
Contrary to these accusations, Rabin was focused on the consolidation of Israeli settlements in the occupied territories.
He planned to give the Palestinian Liberation Organization control of 90% of the West Bank’s Arab population, while retaining 70% of the land in the occupied territories

Nowhere did Bush advocate forcing lenders to make subprime mortgages:

Expanding Homeownership. The President believes that homeownership is the cornerstone of America's vibrant communities and benefits individual families by building stability and long-term financial security. In June 2002, President Bush issued America's Homeownership Challenge to the real estate and mortgage finance industries to encourage them to join the effort to close the gap that exists between the homeownership rates of minorities and non-minorities.

The President also announced the goal of increasing the number of minority homeowners by at least 5.5 million families before the end of the decade. Under his leadership, the overall U.S. homeownership rate in the second quarter of 2004 was at an all time high of 69.2 percent. Minority homeownership set a new record of 51 percent in the second quarter, up 0.2 percentage point from the first quarter and up 2.1 percentage points from a year ago. President Bush's initiative to dismantle the barriers to homeownership includes:

American Dream Downpayment Initiative, which provides down payment assistance to approximately 40,000 low-income families;
Affordable Housing. The President has proposed the Single-Family Affordable Housing Tax Credit, which would increase the supply of affordable homes;
Helping Families Help Themselves. The President has proposed increasing support for the Self-Help Homeownership Opportunities Program; and
Simplifying Homebuying and Increasing Education. The President and HUD want to empower homebuyers by simplifying the home buying process so consumers can better understand and benefit from cost savings. The President also wants to expand financial education efforts so that families can understand what they need to do to become homeowners.

Libs are idiots.

More of what Bush proposed, none of it included forced subprime mortgages:

The Entrepreneurial Spirit of America: Providing Tax Relief to American Families and Small Businesses. President Bush acted promptly to help America's workers by providing tax relief to put more money in families' pockets and encourage businesses to grow and invest. Tax relief brought substantial savings to families and helped fight back the effects of the recession. America's families and small businesses have more money to spend, save, and invest because of the President's 2001 and 2003 tax cuts. This year, 111 million taxpayers will receive, on average, a tax cut of $1,586 and 25 million small business owners will receive $75 billion in total tax relief.

The Jobs and Growth Tax Relief Reconciliation Act of 2003 accelerated the tax relief signed into law by the President in 2001, including marriage penalty relief, an increase in the child tax credit, and tax rate reductions for every family that pays income taxes.
The President's 2001 and 2003 tax cuts also provided new incentives for businesses, especially small businesses, to invest in plants and equipment and create new jobs.

Everything Bush did was productive and an effort to help people and businesses, unlike the failure and liar Il Duce.

That is such a lie. Let me guess....YOU are a zionist jew.

If there is no Palestine, there is no israel since the Balfour Declaration which the zionists like to quote promised support for a Jewish "national home" in "Palestine". No Palestine...No israel.

FACT: In 1918, the Jewish population of Palestine was less than 8 percent of the population.
