No. Explained what happened a few nights ago. Seller reneged at last minute - couldn't bring himself to come down to the appraisal value.
Which, in the long run, was the best outcome for us too.
So no worries. More money now, save more money in the next six months, and get a conventional loan the next time.
I guess I missed it; was away for the weekend. BTW, friends caught a 5 ft 60 lb Mahi Mahi!!
It was delicious! We went to Islamorada.

I think the roof and the pool thing would have been too much for you in the long run anyway.

Yeah, veterans getting a little preferential treatment just irks the fool out of you and Lily, doesn't it?

And the down payment in a VA loan is just added to the loan. We sill pay for it.

But a conventional loan is the way we're going the next time.

So at least now you can sleep at night.

Do you agree with this?

"The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized."

Tell us why Obama doesn't agree with this and is ordering federal agencies to violate this part of the Constitution.

Arseny Yatseniuk, Ukraine's newly installed prime minister, has claimed that $70bn has gone missing from the public's balance sheets after the government of ousted President Viktor Yanukovich hid the cash away in offshore bank accounts.

Sounds like socialism to me! So the VA loans money for a downpayment? Interesting.
If you don't have any cash, you may be biting off more than you can chew, in addition to considering buying a house that needs considerable repairs. I'd think this out more if I were you. Unexpected expenses can be a killer if you're not prepared.

Which is exactly what we're doing - mainly because hubby lost his overtime recently - thanks to the economy and Obamacare. Even with our mutual part-time job paying fairly well working one or two afternoons a week, we can only save half as much as we once did and decided to take more time to build up our savings just so we won't be "house poor".

However, we bought our last two homes with a VA with no down payment and did just fine.

So, basically, you're wrong.

Now can you and everyone else please just back off of my personal financial situation?

Or can we can talk about yours or someone else's for a change?
