Ummmm,'your own social scientists?' Ummmmm... so, ummm, what you're suggesting is that "you" can just... look around until you find a "social scientist" who agrees with your worldview? Ummmm... doesn't that sort of defeat the notion of.. um.. science? Maybe what you meant was you were going to hire an actor like Ronald Reagan for instance to read your script out loud while wearing a white lab coat and horn-rimmed glasses? For "science" to work honey, it kind of has to be impartial... otherwise it's just another advertisement...
No, just look around you and you will see what I mean. I see it.

That's one of the added lil bonuses of ignoring it. US big freeze on the East, West running out of water, England is swimming in it, Southern Hemisphere burning up. All the warning signs are there on a day by day basis yet rational logic from the right keeps ignoring it. This can't be happening its just normal weather, Big Al can't be right otherwise my world would end.

True. Guess what I meant to say is let's hope a Republican Congress in November can put a cork in the leak of corruption and "income equality except for the few elite" until we have a real leader in 2016.
Ever read Orwell's "Animal Farm"? It was about communism and how a few pigs decided all animals were equal but the pigs were the only ones who got rich off the backs of the other animals who were "equal" doing work they weren't designed to do and who began to feel oppressed, overworked and under-appreciated. Oppression and rebellion was the outcome.
Like in all communist countries.

The present administration doesn't weigh the costs. Their legacies, power and ivory tower ideologies trumps all unintended costs.

And too many Americans are fine with that. Some even think the costs aren't great enough yet. Some posters on here prove it. They, too, think a magical land of utopia exists - just like in "Animal Farm" - until it's realized too late it doesn't.

It doesn't take a fictional story to point out the obvious. Millions of people throughout history can attest to this. Ask the Venezuelans or Cubans. Or any oppressed peoples in the world who bought the idea of an unrealistic utopia by the power elite and a misleading message of "fairness" and "equality" to find out it was a means to an end - to wield power over them.

8th Banker Commits Suicide: JP Morgan Hong Kong & 30 Stories Down!

Well, this clears up one thing, and that is the gold disappearing. Now we know there are serious investigations going on around the globe, including China, so they must have confiscated the gold and hid it until after all those that will be indicted are identified. Rothschild, when he wrote the protocols, made the point that getting all the gold, land and hard assets was more important than anything else except global domination and control.

Well, the Chinese are getting a taste of what will be in store for them once the bankers are through with the west, then it will be their turn. Same with Brazil, Russia, and other emerging financial players. Rothschilds are the rot that pervades society and the world and must be excavated out of our planet and soon.

President Barack Obama doesn’t see disagreements with Russia over conflicts in Syria and Ukraine as a revival of competition on “some Cold War chessboard,” he said Wednesday, but will keep pushing Russian President Vladimir Putin to side with the will of the people in both nations.

“I don’t think this is a competition between the United States and Russia. I think this is an expression of the hopes and aspirations of people inside of Syria and people inside of the Ukraine,” Obama said during a news conference in Toluca, Mexico, that came at the end of the North American Leaders’ Summit, an afternoon and evening of joint meetings with Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper and Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto.

A billionaire hedge fund tycoon has handed Harvard College, his alma mater, a $150million donation - the largest single gift ever made to the Ivy League school.

Harvard says the gift from Kenneth Griffin, founder and CEO of the $14billion Citadel hedge fund, will help pay for places for as many as 800 undergraduates.

The donation should be 'an investment in the next generation of leaders as we continue to break down barriers to an outstanding education,' Mr Griffin said in a statement.

He told CNN the scholarships are aimed at students who 'have done really, really well in their classwork against long odds. This is their chance to go to America's greatest college.'

Turns Out Anti-Union Volkswagen Workers May Have Screwed Themselves And The South

The German "co-determination" model mandates works councils, which connect employees to management, at all large German companies. Following the union vote, the head of Volkswagen's works council told German newspaper Sueddeutsche Zeitung that the automaker would hesitate to expand in the U.S. South.

"I can imagine fairly well that another VW factory in the United States, provided that one more should still be set up there, does not necessarily have to be assigned to the South again," said works council leader Bernd Osterloh.

"If co-determination isn't guaranteed in the first place, we as workers will hardly be able to vote in favor" of building another plant in the right-to-work South", Osterloh added.

How does a Social Scientist view poverty?

Why our liberal Friends are always harping on wage not more jobs....

From 1989...little dated...but we can use this as an observation....

"Only 9 million" working poor (aged 16-64) engaged in labor force in 1989.

2,8 million of these who were CLASSIFED as POOR worked "less than six months" of the year.

> PART TIME labor is not gonna get ANYONE out of poverty....<

{what was on of the consequences of the ACA? lots of 30 hour workers....}

back to 1989....
1.5 million of the POOR (can we say min wage earners?) were still in school.

and a EYE popper: 1.2 million "WORKING AGE POOR PEOPLE {age 16-64} CHOSE to work part time voluntarily...

Wetzel, J.(1995).'Labor Market-Related Economic Hardship'. Labor Force, Employment, and Earnings. State of the Union: America in 1990s, vol 1 economic trends. Russell sage Foundation : New York.

What allows 1.2 million POOR PEOPLE who are not disabled to VOLUNTARILY NOT WORK?

George Zimmerman reportedly received a small taste of vigilante justice on a recent beach trip in Miami. According to reports on (ever reliable news site) TMZ, Trayvon Martin’s killer was run off a beach when recognized by an angry crowd. Zimmerman, who had been in Miami to film a series of interviews and garner yet more undeserved platforms in the public eye, swiftly left the city following the incident. My hope is that the Miami mob set a precedent for how to treat Zimmerman henceforth.

Via TMZ:

Zimmerman taped an interview last Tuesday with Univision and Fusion, and then took his girlfriend, her kid and his brother to the beach. While they were catching some rays, people noticed him, started harassing him, and then someone shouted out George had a $10,000 bounty on his head.

We’re told it freaked him out and they all retreated to the hotel, but the crowd followed them.

Security swept their room to make sure no one tampered with their stuff and then stood guard throughout the day and night. We’re told Zimmerman did his CNN interview early the next morning and then beat it … literally fleeing Miami.

He's so fos on everything. Of course he has no financial problems or health insurance problems, he has no problems at all, except that he can't get out of bed. The government takes care of everything else while he pontificates on here.
