Compassionate Liberals!!!!

"Of the 10 most charitable states in 2012, as ranked by the Chronicle of Philanthropy, nine went for Romney over Obama. Three times as many red states as blue states placed in the top 20 states in giving. And all but one of the 10 least charitable states swung President Obama’s way."

Lots of stink coming from Scott Rothsteins testimony about Charlie Crist and contributions; placement of judges etc. Let's see how it unfolds!
Charlie has always been shifty__did I ever mention that he dated Katherine Harris as a way to boost his political career?

It will be fun to watch the Scott-Crist race play out__it will definitely be a nasty one.

So, have Obama and his fellow Democrats achieved their "spread the wealthgoal?

Count the ways:

Endless extensions of unemployment insurance to anesthetize jobless Americans from the pain of reckless Democratic anti-growth policies;

Record high food stamp usage;

A record number on disability were getting the highest-ever monthly benefits;

Labor Force participation rates have declined; people not in the labor force are at a record 91.8 million;

Democrats are encouraging people to get on the government dole at an early age. High-school students are constantly exhorted to go to college.

John Kerry typified the view of liberals when he told a crowd of Ohio voters:

You know, education, if you make the most of it, if you study hard and you do your homework, and you make an effort to be smart, uh, you, you can do well. If you don't, you get stuck in Iraq.

[Unfortunately) when Republicans declare their goal is to grow the economy and create more jobs and thus more taxpayers, they lose the loafer vote.

And when Democrats are in the forefront of legalizing marijuana even for non-medical purposes they gain the loafer vote.

As the liberal Washington Post columnist Ruth Marcus wrote:

"...persistent cannabis use was associated with neuropsychological decline broadly across domains of functioning, even after controlling for years of education." Long-term users saw an average decline of eight IQ points.

Once again, teenage toking was the problem. The decrease in IQ was linked only to those with adolescent marijuana use, not those who started in adulthood

Lassitude, lethargy and lack of motivation follow -- sounds like a drug tailor-made for loafers.

Barack Obama was a member of the Choom Gang in his fancy Hawaii high-school. One wonders if those effects can persist?

Didn't Obama make clear he was all out for the loafer vote -- and that his goal was to create another class in America, the loafer class?

After all, wasn't his animated campaign pitch "The Life of Julia" celebrating cradle to grave dependency on big government (while the role of taxpayers was left on the cutting room floor)?

Leftists suck.

New York Democratic senator Chuck Schumer, an author of the Senate immigration bill, may have succeeded in helping Republicans kill his own bill.

On Meet the Press Sunday, Schumer said that Republicans "don't trust the president to enforce the law, particularly the enforcement parts." So, he explained, "There's a simple solution. Let’s enact the law this year, but simply not let it actually start ‘til 2017 after President Obama’s term is over. But you could actually have the law start in 2017 without doing much violence to it. You'd simply move the date back from December, 31 2011 to December 31, 2013, as to when the deadline for people who could get either legalization or citizenship [is], so we could go after the new people who come in later. And it would solve the problem.… You don't trust Obama? Enact the law now, put it into effect in 2017."

So even Schumer is willing to have no legislation go into effect until 2017. In other words, the main sponsor of the Senate immigration bill, who has previously pretended immigration reform is urgently important, is acknowledging that in fact there is no urgency to act.

But if nothing needs to go into effect until 2017, then Republicans have an even simpler solution: Do nothing. Don't enact legislation until 2017.

After all, why should Republicans pass a law now that won't take effect for three years? If Republicans win the presidency in 2016, then they'll have a chance to enact immigration legislation based on conservative principles. So it's better to wait until 2017—which is when Schumer is willing to put off implementation until anyway.

Care to give us your answers to these questions?
Since Al Qaeda has declared war against the United States, does that constitute Al Qaeda being an enemy of the United States, as referenced in the Constitution when it defines treason?
"Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort."
Is giving Al Qaeda arms and munitions treason?
Is ordering Al Qaeda terrorists be trained on a US military base in Jordan, then armed and sent to to invade another country treason?
Is helping Al Qaeda capital treason?
Is this related to the Democrats' plan to introduce a bill in the Senate to eliminate the death penalty for treason?(Just for treason. No other crime is referenced.)
There you go with those half truths again. H.R. 3741: Federal Death Penalty Abolition Act of 2013 was meant to eliminate the death penalty.....period. There are millions of opponents to the death penalty.

Federal Death Penalty Abolition Act of 2013 - Prohibits the sentencing to death or execution of any person for any violation of federal law after the enactment of this Act. Commutes death penalties imposed prior to the enactment of this Act to life imprisonment without the possibility of parole.

Progress = Julia and Pajama Boy?

[I]t is hard not to see Pajama Boy as an expression of the Obama vision, just like his forbear Julia, the Internet cartoon from the 2012 campaign. Pajama Boy is Julia's little brother. She progressed through life without any significant family or community connections. He is the picture of perpetual adolescence. Neither is a symbol of self-reliant, responsible adulthood.

And so both are ideal consumers of government. Julia needed the help of Obama-supported programs at every juncture of her life, and Pajama Boy is going to get his health insurance through Obamacare (another image shows him looking very pleased in a Christmas sweater, together with the words "And a happy New Year with health insurance").

The breakdown of marriage and its drift into the 30s mean there are more Julias and Pajama Boys than ever. The growth of government feeds off this trend, and at the margins, augments it.

In other words, they are loafers.

But wouldn't Pajama Boy, though androgynous in a metrosexual way, be more suited as Julia's mate? Barbie had Ken; Eve had Adam. Addicted to Other People's Money, mainlined by Democrats, hooked at an early age they could have the politically correct two children and raise them as True Believers in Big Brother.

----------

GOP colleagues angry with Ted Cruz
Ted Cruz faced a barrage of hostile questions Wednesday from angry GOP senators, who lashed the Texas tea party freshman for helping prompt a government shutdown crisis without a strategy to end it.
At a closed-door lunch meeting in the Senate’s Mansfield Room, Republican after Republican pressed Cruz to explain how he would propose to end the bitter budget impasse with Democrats, according to senators who attended the meeting. A defensive Cruz had no clear plan to force an end to the shutdown — or explain how he would defund Obamacare, as he has demanded all along, sources said.
“It seems that there is nothing the media likes to cover more than disagreements among Republicans, and apparently some senators are content to fuel those stories with anonymous quotes,” Cruz told POLITICO.“Regardless, my focus — and, I would hope, the focus of the rest of the conference — is on stopping Harry Reid’s shutdown, ensuring that vital government priorities are funded, and preventing the enormous harms that Obamacare is inflicting on millions of Americans.”
But as the government shutdown heads into day three, a number of Republican senators privately blame the Texas freshman for contributing to the mess their party finds itself in. And now that they’re in it, they say it’s up to Cruz to help find a solution.

Keep your eyes on Switzerland

The European Union is fuming and contemplating retaliation against the nation of Switzerland in the wake of majority vote by Swiss citizens limiting immigration, one of political correctness's core sacraments.

Switzerland uses direct referenda to decide issues that in other countries are left to legislative bodies, and so yesterday the entire nation voted on a proposal to drastically limit immigration from EU countries, and by a narrow majority the measure passed.

The leader of Britain's main eurosceptic party hailed "wise" Swiss voters Sunday for backing curbs on EU immigration, saying it would encourage others across the continent.

Nigel Farage, the head of the UK Independence Party, said Switzerland had stood up to "bullying" from Brussels and that it was "not a matter of race but of space."

"This is wonderful news for national sovereignty and freedom lovers throughout Europe," said Farage, who is a member of the European parliament (MEP).

"A wise and strong Switzerland has stood up to the bullying and threats of the unelected bureaucrats of Brussels."

Every Swiss male undergoes military service, and is required as an adult to keep an automatic weapon in his house.

Bering host to a million foreigners in a population of 8 million might well seem dangerous to a nation schooled in the demanding disciplines of being Swiss.

The Swiss are a no-nonsense people, and do not cotton to less successful foreigners (nearly everyone in the world) telling them what to do. They have gone their own way for centuries, and have armed themselves to the teeth in order to defend their independence.
