The Director of the CBO said it would cause a disincentive to work. But that's not what Obama and Pelosi said, so it's probably why you're still confused.

Go to page 2 of 2, imbecile.
Here, let me spoon feed it for you:
"Some geothermal systems, though, which are less expensive and less efficient, also need a back-up system that can kick in when it drops below 25 degrees F. to augment a system that may not be able to handle really frigid temperatures."
Most people get a system like this because it's cost prohibitive to get the Cadillac system and the payback period is too long, defeating the purpose.
Here's the link to the second page since you were too frikkin stoooopid to go to it!

God are you dumber than sh*t!
speaking of duisn't dumb, so what a system needs a spare compressor....

what about a oil furnance system...if the power goes out, your furnance ain't gonna work
when does power typically go out, in real friggin cold weather....

or if your furnance goes on the blink......

same with gas heat system, if your power goes out, it ain't gonna work

the only system that won't quit when power goes out are wood/coal systems

Geothermal systems reduce our dependence on coal/oil/gas, they reduce costs. So they have their drawbacks, everything does. Does that mean we don't use them and work on improving it.

with that attitude, we'd still be riding horseback

Ken Ham: The Making of An American Religious Huckster

Creationist Ken Ham is a modestly-educated Australian schoolteacher. But America's long tradition of anti-intellectualism helped him become a star religious entrepreneur.

Ken Hamís widely watched debate with Bill Nye has brought Americaís most significant fundamentalist onto the radar screen of millions of Americans for the first time. Many are shocked to discover that such views still exist and, as polls remind us, are held by more than a hundred million Americans.

The Ken Ham phenomenon is uniquely American. Creationism exists largely as an American export in other countries, and I am bombarded with inquiries when I speak on this topic in Europe. European scholars find American creationism incomprehensible. How in the world can an Australian schoolteacher with a modest education create an organization like Answers in Genesis, with a $20 million annual budget? And raise $27 million to build a creation museum? And become one of the most influential educators in the country?

For one thing nitwit, Obama said he was raising the minimum wage for federal contract workers not for everyone. But then again your reading comprehension skills are underwhelming at best.
The new estimates also say that the health care law will, in the short run, benefit the economy by boosting demand for goods and services because the lower-income people it helps will have more purchasing power. The report noted that the 2014 premiums that people pay for exchange coverage are coming in about 15 per cent lower than projected, and the health care law, on balance, still is expected to reduce the federal deficit.
What erosions of jobs Carol? We've shown job gains since Obama took office liar. As for the sluggish economy it certainly is intentional, on the part of the GOP who hoped to hobble it and use it to win in 2012. They failed but keep on trying the same failed policies.

confused?

[T]he ACAís subsidies for health insurance will both stimulate demand for health care services and allow low-income households to redirect some of the funds that they would have spent on that care toward the purchase of other goods and services ó thereby increasing overall demand. That increase in overall demand while the economy remains somewhat weak will induce some employers to hire more workers or to increase the hours of current employees during that period.

It's a good thing because it opens up jobs. It also tightens the market for labor forcing employers to compete for workers. It also gives people more flexibility to plan their futures. There are too many stories to post all those who did and did not survive because they did or did not have a gun. But this is the one that made headlines.

A Georgia mom shoots a home invader five times while hiding in a closet to protect her children.

Wonder how that story would have turned out had this mom not had a gun?

No Carol, the idea that a gun is the best defense is a myth and a particularly dangerous one.
Having a gun in your home significantly increases your risk of death ó and that of your spouse and children.
And it doesnít matter how the guns are stored or what type or how many guns you own.
If you have a gun, everybody in your home is more likely than your non-gun-owning neighbors and their families to die in a gun-related accident, suicide or homicide.
Furthermore, there is no credible evidence that having a gun in your house reduces your risk of being a victim of a crime. Nor does it reduce your risk of being injured during a home break-in.
Americans need to be armed to protect themselves against organized welfare looters when the police run away......

Like what Carol? I can think of one thing off the top of my head; single payer. Companies wouldn't have to worry about insuring their workers people could take time off to expand their education, care for family members or even take the risk of starting a new business without the fear of lack of medical coverage. But that big "MYGOD! SOCIALISM!" bone in your head pretty much prevents you from seeing the logic behind it. Obamacare isn't the perfect solution, but it's much better than allowing companies whose only concern is their profit margins from determining who get's medical coverage and what coverage they're going to allow.

Chain email claims Barack Obama has signed 1,000 executive orders to grab power from Congress

Our ruling

The chain email said Obama has issued more than 1,000 executive orders. Thatís not even close. As of Jan. 20, 2014, he was at 168. The email also infers that Obama has far surpassed his predecessors in using his executive powers. That, too, is way off. FDR signed off on more than 3,500 executive orders, and, in fact, Obama is on pace to issue fewer executive orders than any two-term president since 1900.

As for the 14 executive orders highlighted in the email? Obama didnít issue any of them. They came from Kennedy, Johnson and Ford. Almost all of them have been revoked.

Overall, the statements in this email seem to be completely made up. So we rate its claims Pants on Fire!
